just a noob...
ok so i called a salvage and they have a 93 ex motor thats shot but the IM ECU and CAM are still good so im thinking about taking thoughs, im told this will give me about a 15-20 hp gain. now...i have not quite looked into flowbenching yet, couldnt find it in my manual. and will be doing the ignition timing and fuel table. im asking if it wont hurt my car to put that stuff in before i do the timing and tables, and what will happen if id do. also cb7tuner.com recommends a IM spacer (not TB spacer, ive learned my lesson on that...) from blacktrax witch they have a dyno chart that proves gains. is it worth it or is there something else i should do instead?

also thinking about changing valve springs....

No it shouldn't hurt it at all. The blocks are identical. Just put everything at its factory mark. It should just run like the a6. I have never done any tuning so I'm not sure what goes into that. I might get to play with that this winter.

fricken sweat thanks a shit-ton, im buying those parts on thursday....

oh and one other thing, what about the oil pan baffle or windage for the ex, i know its not much of a gain on hp so much as its just a better part for my car...is it worth it? and what do i do to pull it off the ex?

i may have to post in a other forum of thread for this question....

well there's a storm coming so i'm delayed on this project.... but soon...

going to the junk yard today finaly, hopping to find all that and possibly an h23 upper plenum and tb...

well i went...found plent of parts i wanted, all the a6 conversion parts and more, even found DC header, then the dude says i have to buy the motors from the car i want the parts for to get the other parts, even the exhaust/header, and lights from another car....fucking lame i had cash in fist....ohwell goin somewhere else tomorow

nope, goin to try to find one of those today, got four hours before i got to work and this will be my only chance before next moday cuz i work like 65 hours this week

welp an hour and a half and some bloody knuckles later i got the lower part of the intake and the spacer with the butterflies and the cam shaft for 60 plus a recycle fee of 10 bucks...not bad i think

Hell yeah man, and 70 bucks doesn't sound bad at all.

yup and im goin with the h23 upper and TB, and will double space it, looking for the pt6 ecu but im researching if theres an even better ECU i can grab...
