Actually 2. Got a new torque wrench and didn't read the directions for use first. I got the broken pieces out but now what? Can I only get new bolts from Honda? Advanced, Pep Boys, and Lowes(yea I was taking a shot in the dark) had nothing even close.

I see my 2 options as 1. Get them straight from Honda, or 2. Hit up Craig's-list for a head and just use it for the parts I need.

Am I missing any options?
 
the things that hold the cams down..theres like 6-8 of them for each cam..
id say just go to honda
 
id go honda... thats what i did when i snapped my waterpump bolt because i put the long bolt in the short bolt spot.:(

but i go majestichonda.com havent had a problem with them yet.
cant be more than 2 bucks anyway from the dealer (if they have em in stock)
 
Am I going to pay an arm and a leg or will I be able to get extras just in case for less than a million dollars? I realize Honda overcharges, but their just bolts. Anyone know?
 
Buy the bolt education is expensive these days. You have now learned a lesson at the cost of 2 bolts. It could be worse you could be buying a M6x1.0 heilcoil set and new bolts along with a new head gasket and a few other things. If it would have striped the headout you would have had to take it off to fix or do it the hill jack way and leave the shavings from drilling in the head.
 
BTW, when they say torque to 7.2 ft/lbs. do they mean close to that or does it have to be exact? The only reason I ask is because I have 2 torque wrenches. A click style that starts at 10 ft/lbs. and a pivot handle type that goes lower but obviously will not be accurate to the tenth.
 
I would go with the one that can get the closest I would not use the 10 ft/lb one. Yea 86.4in/lb
 
Nope, both are Ft/lbs. I planned on using the pivot handle. Just thought I would ask.

ive purchased many bolts from the honda dealer for my swap...had to buy all of these holder bolts actually, and usually they have it next day if not in stock, only a few bucks a piece
