Fixing up the house, fixing the garage, getting one car ready for autox while dismantling another (and maintaining the other 3)...I figured there just isn't enough on my plate

so we got this:

Penny (so named for the 1 brown spot on the back of her neck) is a 15 week old American Bulldog we picked up yesterday. She is a rescue from down south (Louisiana), found her on petfinder.com/...we've been talking about getting a 3rd dog (we don't want kids) and the wife found her a few weeks ago. Filled out all the paperwork and 3 weeks latere here she is (up to date on shots, spayed). Super sweet, and good with the other 2

Cute pup. Rotty looks like a sweet dog, too.

And your furball is OK with all of this? They usually flip out at everything!

cute pup. Looks like a keeper.

Oh, and I have that same brush/dustpan.

Nothing says Massachussetts like the fucking orange garbage bags.

Nice dog. How is the adoption process? I know the applications ask a lot fo questions and I see why they do. Did they come to your house to inspect it, I know some rescues will? The gf and I have been looking to get a dog and were thinking about adopting.

Orange bags? I must not be cool enough to have orange bags or something.

Orange bags = $$ for trash

-we have to buy our bags from the town ($2/each)

the adoption was pretty easy for us...no home inspection just alot of questions
we own a home with a big fenced in yard and have the other 2 dogs so we were good candidates

$400 included all her shots, spaying, transportation, and 6 moths of Frontline and Heartguard

Happens all the time, via airline. Drug em, toss em in a crate, ship the bastards. Usually costs like $300+ though.

And by crate, I mean a

actually she came in a modified box truck....they had like 15-20 dogs in the back (all were being adopted)

-picked her up in Putnam right off 395

they do this "northeast" route once a month...they have designated stops and you just pick the one closest to you

They went up ? My sister was paying $1.50 each last year. What a RIDICULOUS state.

Nice puppy.

My friend just got a year old Pittbull and she is adorable and super obedient. Unfortunately Pittbulls are illegal here but he may still be able to keep her.

its ridiculous how pits are viewed as such bad dogs .. to me they're one of the nicest, most loyal dogs you can get.. its just the ones raised like shit that give the others a bad name.. my cousins pit got out one day and ran down the street, i found her playing with a Chihuahua about 7 houses down.. not killing it

But they have a very bad rep of going bat shit crazy when they get old. Which is lacking in most other breeds.

there only viewed negatively because of dumb ass people who fight them and take the integrity and intelligence out of such an amazing creature, that human error and the dog suffers for it...

there are far more aggressive dogs then pits though, like chows
