Well, yeah they do. However, did you listen to every damn word your parents did when growing up?
Teaching them to be responsible at 16-18 works, sure, but then the kids get out on the road and all hell breaks loose anyway.
I'd rather my son be limited on the radio volume and speed so he doesn't wrap the car around the center divider trying to see how fast he can go for the hell of it.
The reason it's limited as high as 80 is because it's universal as some states have speed limits of 75, I wish there was a way to limit speeds in school zones then take that limit off once a school zone is passed... but that would need human interaction to do it.
Regardless of this smart key and this new feature, kids are still going to be stupid and irresponsible, they're still going to get into accidents and do stupid shit. Thats when they realize they made the mistake and they won't be so stupid anymore. Yet a helping hand for parents to help avoid the mistakes suddenly makes them lazy, apparently.
