So I am going to build me a complete race engine. Either a B18C5 or a K20A2. It is going to be for SCCA competitions and time trials. I'm pretty ambitious and a quick learner, but I need a complete list of parts (studs, screws, washers, retainers, springs, etc.etc. etc.) Now I know this seems crazy to post such a demand here, but if not here then where? I stand by my work so far. Now I'm talking mostly mechanical parts [the heart of the motor]. If anyone can direct me to a site, or book it would be greatly appreciated.

And no retarded comments please.......I'm not as dumb as I seem

o_O what classes are you planning on running? What is the motor going into?

I'll be shooting for the National solo series....maybe. But also the NASA Time Trials circuit/ Honda challenge. The engine will be going into a 93 EG Si hatch.

That'll be fun. I'm assuming you have previous driving experience. What is it?

haha actually very little. I've done driving classes and basically absorbed every bit of racing tips, tricks, information, techniques, read books and I am ready to put it to the test. I'll be attending Skip Barbers classes at Laguna Seca when I am out of college. This build will take me awhile and money is scarce when you are in college, but I am ready to take the leap. I believe we should all follow what we love to do.

If you're new, you should look into getting into autocross. I just started doing it recently, it's lots of fun. Your Si would handle it well.

Yeah I've done AutoX a few times. An EG hatch was almost built for it.....Very quick. You can find me practicing in industrial area parking lots that have a lot of light stands. Hoping my local track will host some more events so I can do it in an enclosed/safer area.
