Everyone who has me on AIM as revolution8k, please do not accept conversations or talk to them as if they're me. Yesterday I was disconnected in the middle of the day and suddenly my name and password did not work. I tried having my PW reset automatically and emailed to me, but it failed numerous times. I created a new account, which if you want i'll PM it to you, and am done with revolution8k.

I think someone hacked my password, as it was the same as the one I used on another board, and stole my name. I have already had my girlfriend tell me that someone tried to contact her under the name when I know I wasn't and she wasn't online with that name.

If anyone gets any conversation from that name see if you can try to figure out who it may be by real name, user name of any type or board they'd know me from.

The only two boards I have people on that name from, are here and offtopicz.com (which I don't go to anymore.)

My girlfriend was on under her name and someone posing as me on revolution8k tried to contact her before she'd signed on.

No one has any of my passwords that I'm aware of. The more things that keep happening the more i'm convinced they stole my password though. I'm starting to get emails from companies that I didn't sign up for thanking me for signing up.

Somebody is committing a shitton of fraud.

So far I've changed my password to here, my bank and a few other places.

i cannot view your password even if i wanted to.
 
Most boards though they have stored passwords encrypted, the connections (i've seen) don't normally use SSL so if there is someone watching packes (Using ...cain and abel, or if they're really motivated and pesky wireshark [which is the new ethereal] and iono wireshark would be annoying to use to watch but a simple XSS on the login page bam re-routes through network they can watch and voila)

That makes me feel somewhat better. But I know someone got my PW and changed it. So I'm done with that name. If anyone has me on their list as that name just block the name and delete it.

I don't want this person going around masquerading as me giving anyone shit which might come back to me.
 
Well he just had a lengthy conversation with both my girl and brian. He admitted he wasn't me and he hacked my account. Is there any way to get a hold of AOL and warn them of this shit? I can't find a number to call on their sites.

dont bother, AIM is a FREE service. if you paid for it like you would AOL then maybe.
