Does anybody out there have a wide body ek that isn't just using spacers? I am trying to find out what offset rim to use and what the widest rim/tire combo will fit under a standard wide-body kit without rubbing( 2 inch extension ).I am pretty deadset on 16's unless someone else is having some success with 17's. I want to maintain a decent amount of rubber(no skins lol). I have found some 16x8 with -27 but not sure how far out that will put the wheel. I have also found +0 offset wheels. Now my local rim shop tells me that I have to just use spacers... Really defeats the whole purpose of me wanting a wide-body kit... I want the most possible rubber on the road. This is a Time Trial car I am building and the wider the tire I have the more horsepower I will be able to put down. So please no suggestions for 225/45/16 tires. This is my first post on this website please be gentle lol

Time Trials are the same as time attacks for those who might confuse them with autoX

y wide body wat r u doing a wide body too and i personaly think it looks like garbage it is a honda not a vett or a stang or a 350z when domestic ppl think of hondas they think of u guys with the body kits not the real hondas

I don't know anything about wide body kits but I have been looking at this for the past few weeks now.

While not your application, and technically not a wide body in a regular sense, the rear of this MR Integra has been flared 2"(what you said your kit allows) and it's rocking 17x7.5. Even if it doesn't help you at all, take a look, sweet project.

GRAMMAR, SPELLING, AND FUCKING PUNCTUATION!!

Holy fuck I'm sick and tired of people typing with their feet and thinking with their ass.

And to clarify, a wide body kit is completely different then a body kit. While some body kits attempt to incorporate in a wide body feel, a real wide body is there to simply allow for more tire.

And to clarify further, a time attack Honda is what any Honda owner should aspire to build. It incorporates a good driver and a well built machine all around. Much harder then strapping on a turbo and holding the car straight.

nobody said anything about going straight just tired of all the tokyo drift hondas out there u guys give us jdm guys a bad rep and u r crying about my typing sorry im not too worried about the way i type it isnt a fu::ing resume dip shat ohh srry shit

Thanks slush...
civicmulish... I am not building a show car. this is why I explained what I was doing in my post. I don't care what you think. Also look at my rides, I am a domestic guy, my daily driver is a fully built 80 camaro z28 that will spank most cars on the street. What are the real Honda's? JDM? I am building a limited FF car for next year's Super Lap Battle... What are you doing with your Honda???

my honda is getting a full sir swap im just saying y wide body i seen plenty of clean time trial cars that did just fine on a stock body thats all i am asking i want to do auto x with my car not like wats his face is talking about going staight anyone can go staight

well a 225 is as wide as you can get under a stock fender lowered without rub worries... So two extra inches should allow for at least a 245/255 I would hope. 275 would be a wet dream. I could run a bunch of power without pushing out in corners.

wat about wide fenders see when i hear about a wide body i think of tokyo drift with a full kit um and wat suspension r u going to use and how much lower

So you consider yourself a "JDM guy" huh? What makes you so JDM? Some black-housing headlights on your otherwise stock Civic? Judging from the fact that you have no clue concerning the practical uses of a wide-body and just assume that it's some ricer mod like a body kit and that you don't seem to know have any idea what a time-attack/time-trial is then I doubt you really know much about anything.

Oh, and people who say "DUDE, ITS TEH INTERNETZ! I DONT HAVE TO SPELL GUD ON HEAR!!!!!" don't EVER use good spelling and grammar. People who know proper spelling and grammar don't revert to writing like idiots when they're on the Internet just because it's convenient. I certainly don't.

If you don't have anything useful to add to a conversation, then simply don't post please...

i have more jdm parts then u can imagine i have a real sir ef so stop while ur ahead brutal

I'm "crying" about your typing because it's the way you project yourself over the internet. Right now you are projecting that you are a jackass. And I don't think it's far off.

You may not have said anything about going straight, but I certainly said nothing about drift. We are talking time attack/lap cars. Going sideways slows you down, slows your time, and therefore has zero to due with time attack. There are a few kinds of racing, realize which one is being talked about before opening your cock holster.

JDM. I wish you said that off the bat. You know what the difference is between you and the guys who have "body kits/wide bodies/big wings" on their cars? You paid a lot more for it to come from the right part of Asia. Do some JDM cars look awesome? Absolutely. If I had the cash, would I build one? Absolutely not. I'd rather a purpose built machine for around half the price. JDM=irrational over-spending .

and wat is ur hp in the car is it stock right now i am having trouble with my ass end slipping out in cornering
You have so much hp in your Civic your ass end is sliding out in corners? Are you pulling the E-brake? Hondas under steer. I cant recall any FF car that over steers come to think of it.

i have 4 efs buddy i am a ef fan till i die i have a lx 4 door a dx hatchie a si hatchie and my baby my sir the si is getting the transformation to a sir i want my girl to have a usdm sir look a like so u want proof know how do i do that send u a pic from my cell phone or wat if i was in ur city i would drive it to ur door step so u couldnt second guess me and back to helping the guy with the wide body i am on k sport suspenssion and my ass end keeps sliding out on corners do u think it is cause of no wide body kit my tire size is a 215 60 15 so if i go a wider tire it will help

To qoute my old signature, "JDM=the new rice." The MaD TyeTE JDM scene is soooo over played and watered down its not even funny. You spent what maybe $150 on some JDM corners? Well I spent $15 for my look a likes from eBay, and can anyone tell the difference? No. True JDM parts are such a waste. And I would like to see pics of this JDM SiR you have.

:EDIT: And 215 60 15s on an EF, holy monster truck.
