whats the recipe for doing a d15b7 mini me? no matter how hard i search, i cant seem to find a run down, write up, or list of everything i will need to do the swap. i have the y8 head and manifold.

i know i need a p28 ecu

i know ill need to wire the vtec (simple)

i know ill need to pull the oil plug in the block

i know i need an adjustable cam gear, but for what head?

i know i can use d15b7 my injectors and dizzy

and i know ill need to keep the 3 layer

thats all i know about this. ive hear rumors of rod stretching being a problem.

basically, ive read all kinds of shit but nothing ultimately usefull, no write up or specific details or instructions pertaining to this exact swap, just bits and pieces here and there, aside from being told to go search again. ive used various compression calculators, etc.

what else will i need? :headsmash:

Youll need the P28, an OBD0->OBDI conversion harness, OBDI dizzy. Does the head not have the intake mani on it? The Y8 intke mani is the best flowing D-series intake manifold, so if you dont have it I would recommend getting one.

Im suprised you couldnt find info on it, its a very common swap, there should be a few write-ups/good threads on it.

Cam gear is required any time you put a 1.6 vtec head on a 1.5 block. The rods dont stretch, the bearing cap bolts do and the bearings spin.

that, in combination with shitty castrol syntec and then non syn afterwards, must have been what happened to my 4age.
