the car will idle fine with all four cylinders. but once i go and try to drive it it will start missing. brand new 6al ignition box brand new ignition rotor new spark plugs and decently new distributor and spark plug wires. car also has a new o2 sensor. the car is chipped both the ecu and chip is good. could it be the ignition timing. cause i was thinking about it last night and after my buddy did the ignition timing it only ran for about another 100 miles and started missing. he set the gun for 17 degrees i believe. another problem is sometime ill start it up and itll run really rich like a 11.5 on the standalone and sometimes itll be more around 14.8.

Ignitor? Ya i got nothing. Timing could be it, since you have most of the ignition covered.
 
Why didn't you just bump your old thread?
 
loose or less than great rotor? i just had your symptoms last week and that's what it was; loose screw on my rotor; rotor's edge slightly corroded. replaced rotor, tightened screw, got perfect idle/rev and bonus 8mpg fuel economy improvement.
