I have a 97 accord lx with the f22b2 non vtec and obd, and i got a JDM H22A OBD1 DOHC VTEC ENGINE, 5 SPEED TRANSMISSION OUT OF A 92-95 HONDA PRELUDE. what do i have to do to do this swap, and can i keep my f22 engine mounts, and also is the obd 2 to 1 going to be a problem.

Never done it but have heard its not as simple as the H22 into a CB74th gen accord swap is. Google it..

you should be able to keep your motor mounts and if you want you could actually swap the heads and intake manifold and you would have 210hp with the f22 compression ratio so you could boost your car

You think ECU hacks and intake/exhaust will take an F22 up to 200 horses. Until you get a clue please don't dispense any advice here, k? Thanks...

so the H22A1 doesnt produce 210 horsepower? and the compression ratio of the F22 isnt better for boosting? wow so you really think this isnt legit advice? ok well go be a freaking jerk and give someone else bad rep and call them a tool ok?

No, the H22A1 (specifically) produces 190 horsepower.

Yes, the F22's compression ratio (in stock form) compared to the H22's compression ration (in stock form) is more ideal for forced induction...BUT, do you know what the compression ratio on an H22/F22 hybrid engine is? I doubt it. You just assume that it would retain the F22's stock compression ratio. This isn't always the case. If you swap GS-R head onto a B16 block the compression ratio changes. Also, do you know how much power an H22/F22 hybrid engine makes? Once again, you just assume that it will be the same as what the H22 makes. But if the compression ratio and the engine internals aren't the same, then will it be exactly the same? Probably not...

Stop assuming shit. You reveal your ignorance in every post you make here.

ok well go be a freaking jerk and give someone else bad rep and call them a tool ok?

No, I'll continue giving negative rep to people who deserve it...like you...

Gosh brutal you sure made him mad:boxing: lol

my mistake on the A1 i was lead to believe that it produced 210 hp but i think that was the A6. as to the compression it changes a little but it stays the same. i have a friend who built a hybrid for his 94 accord ex and with subtle mods he was able to dyno 213hp. however he had forged internals and aftermarket cams.

the block itself will slip in, ull need work on the tranny mount, the options are drill and tap(witch is what id recomend) relocating the flanges, wich ive heard people do but i would neve mess with a stock frame unless i had to... and then there finding a mount that would fit but that alot of reading and second guessing to figure out.also i know ull need to do some sort of wireing for the vtec but idk what goes into that...someone will chime in on that im sure....

- ya my boy swapped and h22a1 head on his h23 prelude, there were rumars that itll get like 260 hp and they call it the frankinstien swap or something...nope... my accord pulls on him in the first three gears, givin that his is auto and mine is manual. he gets me eventualy though down the road as i have no top end, and im not claiming that either of our cars are worthy of racing just using it as an example, when swapping heads, you have no idea what ull get unless your some sort of math genius or had someone derectly feed you the knowlage and had proof to back it up....

and jon, i thought you had a 93 ex, isnt that why u sighned up with cb7 tuner, you called urs a cb7 witch is 90-93......

The H22A1 makes 190 horsepower. It was available in the 92-96 Prelude VTEC. There's also the H22A4, which made 200 horses and was available in all the 97-01 Preludes. Those are the only two H22s released in the US. If there is an H22A6 (I assume there is) then it's foreign and I'm not familiar with what car it was in or how much power it made...

i thinkl hes getting mixed up with the f22a6, wich is 140 at best...

unless hes talkin boiut foreign like you said...
