I have a ls/vtec and I'm building another block for boost.

So far I have a kms crank girdle ls crank/ acl race bearings/ gsr oil pickup / oil pump / oil pan. I'm going with eagle h beam rods.

But for the pistons I was thinking of going with a 10:1 ratio.is that too high?

I'm using a castiron manifold, with a t3/t4 intercooler built b16 head with port matched I.m. & gsr cams my power goal is around 350whp

I have a p28 on chrome gold. Haven't picked up bigger in jectors fuel pump or rail yet.

What are the exact specs of this "t3/t4"?

You can do it, but you will need a solid tune in order for it to remain reliable.

Yea, thats not too bad. Shouldn't be too bad to tune. Like blanco said, just like a stock B16. Good luck :)

You should make really good numbers with 8-10 psi. Like everyone else said just make sure you have someone tune it who knows what they are doing. Fuel management is one of the most important areas you can put your money.

why sure some of the pro fwd cars are runing 13:1+ CR and like 40lbs of boost but i wouldnt recomend that with out being able to tune like a pro (well if you are trying that you beter be a pro) no 10:1 will do fine i tuned a stock gsr with a gt35 made 536hp at 17lbs on pump gas and went 11.20at136mph on his first run got kicked out of the track for no cage but he later cracked a sleve leading to total destruction like i warnd him about

^^^"Tune like a pro" and have a huge budget that allows you to rebuild the engine every 2-3 miles.

Unless you're building a purpose built drag car, leave that shit on the track.

yes this is true actuall they are lasting alot longer (well maby 5-8mi LOL) using aluminum rods the bigest problem is heads warping from crazy egts and 40+lbs boost

You warned him about cracking a sleeve on the stock GSR that YOU tuned to 536 whp?

Its not like you were doing a favor. You can't expect 536 whp to last long at all on a stock GSR.

hey its his money and my work i told him before hand that it was not safe to do but it could be done and it will for sure break at some point you have just built a bomb

so no or yes to 10.1comp or go 9.5.1 cause i am in the works on a ls/vtec turbo build and i would like to know and wat if you use a block guard with that 10.1 comp so the block would be more beefed up

Did you bother to read any of the responses here? Boosting on a 10:1 ratio is just like boosting on a stock B16, so YES, IT WILL BE OK...
