I have a 91 Accord with an F22A1. Bad smoke. I found a 94 Accord with an F22B1. Both have automatic transmissions.

Can I just swap these out? Will they fit?

They will swap over, as all F blocks/transmissions are pretty much the exact same. but I think you will need the ECU plus.

Youll have to wire in the knock and vtec sensors to the ecu. Bolts right in. Youll need a POH ecu, or get a P28 and get a street tune. But if you can the wiring harness for the B1 then it saves some headache down the road. If you need the pinouts lmk.

So if he uses the b1 harness all hell have to wire is the vtec and knock from the shock tower plug to the ECU?

Will a 96 F22B1 swap for a 91 F22Ai

I also have a shot at a 1996 accord engine. Will it fit into a 91 Accord?

Oops I thought this was my thread. I am glad for all the info!

You know what? You're completely correct! Sorry, my bad dude! :D

But yeah, the 96 engine should work fine as well...

Yep, no problem man! Oh, but keep in mind that if you use the engine from a 96 it will be set up for OBD2, so you'll need to either use a conversion harness or you'll need to re-use all the accessories off of your old motor...

will a tranny fit from a 1994 lx accord in to a 1990
