ok guys i got a 91 civic dx hatch and a 97 acura 2.2 cl. i want to drop the 2.2 vtech auto in the 91 1.5l 5speed dx. does anybody know if anything special is going to be needed. i am a mechanic and can fabricate basic part's, mounts etc. what do you think.

ok if it's too much hassell can anyone tell me what front ends might go on the 97 2.2 cl. can't find any parts for it it needs a grill, hood, bumper, rad support and drivers side fender. bought it that way for $500. runs great though. oh and does anybody know what the hp rating for this engine is can't find anything for stock on the net

My dad gets stuff from Action Crash, I dont know if the catalog is availible for the general public though.

from what i heard it should use the same enging moutn kit as if doing a h22 swap. and you would need to swap out to the cable shifter from from that car its stick. its a lot of weigth but you will get lots of torque. i would take it over a b16 anyday. more torque more fun. im sure the cl is obd1 so there will probally be wiring issues to work out its teh same motor as the accord f22. my boy had planned on doing a f22 from a 90 accord into his 4 door civic as a low budget turbo build instead of doing a h22 bu the flipped the car and never did the swap. if you already have teh parst go for it but it being an auto might complicate it. when i tried putting a auto b18 into my sisters auto 93 civic it wouldnt fit and we had to do some banging out cause the transmission was bigger.
