Hey, just as above I HATE MY RICER FART CAN!!! It was a temporary fix because I had no exhaust at all. The dumb ass welded the exhaust as one whole pipe from the motor so I had to drop the LCA just to get it in. He didn't put any hangers on it so I used tywire to strap it up (metal wire).

Anyway I want a larger diameter piping from the LCA split off back. From the motor I still have the factory 2 1/4" piping in good condition I want to reuse (its sitting in the attic). I have acess to a welder and pipe bender (not a really good one tho).

I want to use a high flow quiet muffler not like my fart can. I really like the sound of the S2000 muffler and 06-08 Civic Si muffler. Any other silent mufflers or complete axle-back system you can recommend?

P.S. Its going on my EF. Thanks

O rly:eek:? Whenever I see a round 3" muffler I suspect its loud.

The muffler was on my dads EF and when I was in my ricer stage and he was (and still is) in his sleeper stage he traded me straight up. Man was that a bad decision.

Here is a video of the muffler on his car:

the apexi ws2 is chambered and its a oval muffler so its quite and the greddy sp2 is also a oval but its straight through but its still very quite i had one on my rsx type s with not cat and it sounded almost stock

I'm leaning toward the Apexi WS2 universal fit. But then again the whole exhaust system would be nice. Pardon my noobness but when they say "cat back" that means you get from the catalitic converter back, right?

yeah catback means from the end of the cat all the way back to the new muffler, but keep in mind the universal ws2 is a straight through design so it will be louder than the real cat back

Both of thoes are fairly descent. I could rock that.

I'll take the easy way out and sell my dirt bike and mountain bike. Probably end up with $800. Thats a good idea, I could get an exhaust and a P28 and the suspension I want, shit thats a good idea:D.

think it all just matters on your set up i have a frankensti3n system on my EK9 it's dual 3 inch cans with 2 inch and 1 1/4 stock piping all the way to the cat and it's sounds just like my buddies s200 low and pretty qite but gets loud when you want it to. but still no fart can sound i built the whole setup for less then 200 bucks

I would go with the Greddy SP2 or the EVO2 if you can get your hands on it.. ive had both of those on my preludes and loved them both.. Greddy Ftw

Idk. Thats what I've been told and I've read before. I'll take a tape measure to it tomorrow.

I really doubt that it's a 2 1/4" exhaust. I put 2 1/4" piping on my Integra and it was larger then stock. With the Civic making less horse then an Integra I can't imagine they would put a bigger exhaust on it from the factory...

Whatever then. I might just get the axle back part or the whole thing idk. yet. I think just the axle back would be fine for what I want. I like the Apexi WS2 just because its the cheapest and I can just get the universal fit muffler and do my own piping. And if I do that I can get credits in school.
