Ok so going to go the turbo route..
going to upgrade the pistons, rods, valves, and bearings, injectors and fmu.
What i need from you guys is help me choose between the two turbo kits here they are

Full-Race Motorsports LLC Call us toll free at (866) FULL-RACE

or

PeakBoost Honda B-series FTW turbo system

and then there is always getting a awesome tune dont really know where to go but im sure you guys can help me with that when the time comes

Im really liking the mani from ful race, and the intercooler also. But i know the turbo is going to take forever to spool.

The peakboost is alot cheaper and the intercooler is bigger(bigger isnt always better i know) but has a turbo i know nothing about well actually both of them have turbo's i know nothing about.

But what do you guys think is the best kit. Dont want to do a homemade kit because i want it to be reliable the first time.

It just needs to be SUPA fast

Full race has been known to make great parts- hit me up if you need help installing, I'm local and 31; not some kid that wants to steal your parts.

Agreed, it will. For that kind of power GET YOUR BLOCK SLEEVED ;)

O no I know Matt knows his shit.. just gave him rep
What else would you guys recommend?
If i get big enough injectors i wont need an fmu will I? (did a little research get conflicting info about it, how did you do it Matt?)
Getting the motor here in about 4 months and before I install it I want to get all the motor stuff done, like I said going to do probally crower rods, pistons, and valves. A skunk 2 intake mani(maybe). Want yalls input on fuel rails and injectors.

Thanks alot guys;)

Injector size has nothing to do w/fmu. You need fmu to control the pulse/ratio/amount of the injectors if you plan to run higher boost.

FMUs suck. Dont even consider using one, you need to have your ECU chipped and tuned if you want it to run right.

IMO, you should just do the whole thing at once. Get a new intake mani, fuel rail, and injectors that will meet your power goal.

Suggestions:
S2 mani
AEM/Benen fuel rail
RC 780's (I think) should do 400 whp and leave room for some improvement.

As for the tune, just get an OBD1 ECU for your motor, get it chipped, and get a basemap from phearable.net. Then take it to a tuner and have them fine tune it from there.

Crower makes good stuff, sounds like a decent internal setup. Make sure you know what you're doing with the bearings and what not before you start.

yea got a buddy thats been a mechanic for YEARS thats going to be helping me and any other tech at the dealership is willing to help so i will have tons of help..best of all its FREE! lol

but yea you guys totally lost me on the ecu, and chipped and all that good shit looks like i got alot more reading to do.. unless someone wants to spoon feed the wittle baby lol

Thanks alot for the help so far guys should have a build thread here in a few months

Are you kidding me here? FMU sucks?? Yes- they suck if you don't have a wideband and have no idea how to tune a car. I've never seen a halfway fast car without FMU. Every supra i've owned, my twin turbo z06, twin turbo 350z, s2k, dsm's, etc. etc. had fmu's. Now the EASY way to do it w/the hondas is to get a flash w/custom maps but you still have to get the thing tuned. Independant FMU's are the name of the game- piggybacks sometimes cause huge problems. It's all up to the budget.

Take matts96 advice. Go obd1 and get a custom map. Unless you're in a state that has emissions and you need to keep it obd2.

yea live in va so emissions are pretty tight but got the hook up on emissions too lol but yea a obd gsr is like a 96 to 2000 right??

Yes, it's obd2. Make sure about your emissions hookup before you do all this. I had hookups in nova too but since the recent fines have increased to crazy levels- they won't do it anymore.

Just stop.

No, no, your right FMUs are the way to go. I wont say I told you so when you toast your motor because it was running lean.

I agree with you there. That's why I said a proper tuner who is familiar with the software and FMU and a wideband are must haves. You start it off running really rich then start adjusting from there. Like with any FI app. This is why I recommended the flash/tune.
