ok either i am retarded or it doesnt exsist cause i cant find it.

im trying to figure out how hard it would be to drop a 2001 accord v6 engine in my 92 teg.

im pretty sure there would be enough space but i cant find anything that is helping me out at all.

if any one has any links or can let me know what i will need to do to drop it in and have it run proper would help.

i know i will need mounts and all te linkage and shafts from the accord but what else will i have to do to put it in.

welder and torch, and 100% custom job, the reason you don't see much stuff on it is because most ppl like going fast instead of being different.

yeah at one point i was going to try to put the v6 from a 92 legend into my EK9. Way too much work and not enough gain. you be better off just sticking to a b series turbo setup. you would end up using close to the same amount of $$$ and about half the time

Basically what he said... its not gonna be worth it after buying the motor (which wont be too cheap) plus all the fabrication and some custom parts/mounts.. for the money you'd spend on that.. you're just better off gettin a B series or K20 and doing a small turbo build.. that'll give you more power than any stock J motor

im a bit confused, i know that the engine i want to drop in has more hp and torque then my b20vtec so how exactly is it not faster?

originally i was going to put a jrsc on my b20 but i thought a naturally aspirated v6 could pull the same hp and torque roughly with some modifications

would there be any other modifications i could do to my b20vtec other then turbo or jrsc to gain more power out of it.
i already have a chipped ecu, megan 4-1 headers, 2.5 exhaust header back, high flow cat and magna flow muffler, cold air intake.
i thought about pnp but its expensive i think for the power gains unless i do myself, what else could i do?

the v6 motor is heavy. and it will not put that much down on the dyno so i would stay with a lite b series and beat up on them all day. if your not wanting to boost it in any kind of way. then your next step would be to go inside head work cams ect ect.

yeah they may have a kit somewhere but it's just not going to be worth it for the time and money. not a super great gain for it :(

Hasport actually does produce a mount kit for this swap guys...

yea they may have mounts for this swap.. but its not gonna be worth it with the amout of fabrication and mods you will have to do to get it to fit.. not to mention the swapping of the ecu and the harnesses.. with the weight to power ratio and money spent.. your better off boosting and tuning your b20..

there are guys putting down 240whp with b20vtecs... if you are looking to do this V6 swap then you have the money to build your current motor. the b20vtec can be very potent with higher compression, cams, and headwork. and then dyno tuned of course!

I wasn't really commenting as to whether the V6 swap is worth the money, but rather just pointing out for the people who said everything would need to be custom-fabbed that they do actually make after-market mounts for a V6 swap into EG/DC-chassis cars...

i once saw a ek hatch with a nsx motor mounted in the trunk area at a local car show out here. that would be a huge project but its just about the only way that putting a v6 into a civic will make it faster then a bvtec

yeah that's ridiculous amount of work cjvictoria... not everyone here is about speed (hard for some ppl to realize) i would definately give you mad props for being halfway original and not just following the crowd. With that being said you better dual turbo that mother and stomp some serious ass!!! dual turbo v6teg ftw!

i was just saying.. that amount of work you really have to appreciate that craftmanship.. god damnit i shoulda taken a picture.. .maybe i'll see it again.. i hope lol
