i have a 93 integra gsr that will not idle. the idle goes from 1600 to 3000 rpm. if you unplug the IACV it will run at 1200 rpm and stay their. so i replaced the IACV and still have this problem any one else had this problem or know what else could cause this? also i have put 2 different tps on as well to see if they had anything to do with it.

oh yea forgot it has a b16a in it not the b17 not much different and also has skunk2 stage one cams

hmmm... air in the coolant system? check the fluid level, had this problem on my ef. whenever the coolant was low it would idle up and down

Did you get this problem fixed? I have the same problem but the galloping idle occurs when the engine is warm so I don't think it's the FITV. I was running the vehicle on the old F22 ECM for awhile but this loping problem didn't start until I put the H22 injectors/ECM in. I have two H22 ECMs and it does this on each.

Whiskey Tango Fox if you please?

I have a D16y7 block and D16y8 head and Intake Manifold...the ECU is a p28...when changing the head gasket, I thoroughly cleaned the IM and surrounding parts with degreaser and brake cleaner...when i removed the Intake Control Valve, i noticed that the screen in the ICV was really clogged, so i cleaned it out and reinstalled the ICV...after the head job was done, the motor runs good, but the rpms at idle go up and down between 1500 and 2000...when I unplug the ICV and run the motor the rpms are steady but at about 1400...WHAT IS GOING ON?

could be alot of things really... usually is either a vaccum leak or air bubbles in the coolant. which was the problem on my ef

i have that same stupid problem with my b20 vtec, its got a 98 block with a 200sir head, i tried everything i could to fix it but the only way i got it to stabilize was to disconnect the vaccum line to the fuel pressure reg.

i cleaned the iacv, put a brand new one on, checked vaccum leaks, checked bubbles in coolant, nothing fxed it.

what is going on?

Same problem

Im having the same problem on my 99ex with a turbo b16a2 swap. It idles up and down from about 1200rpm to around 2000rpm after the engine is warm. I also replaced the iacv with no luck. Did you guys figure yous out

I'm going to try the link at the top and clean the Fast Idle Thermo Valve...I'll post tomorrow with the results
