i just got a d16a6 to put in my hatch. where can i find info on how to wire it in. and im also rebuilding the motor, what products should i use to make it about 200-300 horse power. i will be auto x with it.
 
If your car came stock with mpfi (4 injectors on the intake manifold) then you can just use the stock harness you have. if the car was dpfi you'll retain the stock harness and then convert it to mpfi. search for "dpfi to mpfi". 200-300hp is a shit ton for a honda. stock your at around 100. doubling or trippling that stock number is going to require one hell of an engine build, and a big snail slapped on the front of it.
 
ya i got the harness with the motor. my car has one injector. i should be able to use part of the d16 harness right?
 
your gunna have to do a mpfi conversion, h-beam rods, vitara pistons, cometec head gasket, hi performance oil pump, arp studs, some serious head work, a block gaurd to be on the safe side and new waterpump belts and other maintenece things

With just that he still won't make 200-300 whp. He'll have to do that plus a turbo.

I don't know much about turboing but if he's going to auto cross with his car I don't think a turbo will help him that much, won't there be a lag?

As said before 200-300 whp is a lot for a little Honda. Maybe do a mini-me swap then if you're cravin' more power look into turboing or maybe a supercharger. Idk, just a suggestion.
 
i said that just for the motor build i never said anything bout a turbo thats just to handle the 2-300 hp that he wants to make. if he wants the power of a z6 head he can also just port and polish the a6 head and get almost the same if not more power out of it the only differnce is the vtec he wont have. and if hes autox he would be better off with a supercharger for his car seeing as its boosting almost all the time there would be turbo lag but it all depends on where he wants to put a his power. say a small turbo fast spool lower rpms so he can get out of a corner, big turbo hig rpm spool so he can get it on the straights
 
thanks guys. i have a turbo off my saab it is a garrett t25 any of you guys heard of puttin one of those on a honda motor?
