Where can I find the conversion kit, so that I can put a b series tranny onto my h22a? how much are they?

Are you trying to put this into a Prelude? The H2B kits only work on Civics and Integras, FYI. I mean, it will work to allow you to bolt the engine and transmission together, but the transmission won't bolt up to the Accord chassis without fabricating custom mounts...

yea, i have a 93 prelude and want to but a b series tranny on my h22a.is it worth it?
read the post i quoted above yours.

What are you talkin about?

this guy is asking about h2b for his car and brutal explained it to him. h2b is for honda/acuras and not prelude/accords.

it's not recommended because it would take custom mounts on top of a very expensive conversion, plus the cost of the tranny.

Personally I don't really think it's worth the effort and expense. Yes, the gearing is shorter on the B16 and Type R transmissions, but then again, the red-line on the H22 isn't as high, and it's a larger motor, so it's got quite a bit more torque. Those short gears are important for an engine like the B16 that's got no torque and makes all of it's power up high in the RPM range. For the H22 though, the factory gearing works fine...

Here's some info from H-T that may help.

That's not really that useful unless you're also going to post up B-series gear ratios for comparison...

thats alot of work for a relativly crappy transmission choice to put on an h series motor...definately not worth it. if u want shorter ratios go with the h23 tranny...stronger,more reliable, made for your chassis and no modifications to make it work, plus its built to actually properly move the power out of an h series...even if u could put a b series tranny on ur h22 it would rip those tiny little gears apart. ive seen built b series motors tear up those trannys.

Don't post in here again please. You have no clue what you're talking about...

alright, then i guess i dont know what im talking about.sorry didnt mean to pis u off,was only agreeing with u about the ammount of work compared to an h tranny.wont post on this thread anymore as asked...again sorry.
