Still working on my LS Boost, Someone told me to get the Garrett t3/60-1 .48 a/r and I was reading some forums and they said I wouldn't be able to reach full boost till about 4500-5000 on 18psi. Here's my goal to push my LS into the 11's in a quarter mile on boost not fake HP like NOS cause it only lasts for so long. Anyways no offense but I wanna be able to get 11's 1/4 mile and about 350 hp. Here is my setup again
B18A1:
9:1 CP
Eagle H Beam
ARP Head Studs
Cometic Head Gasket
Race Port and Polish
XS Power Intake manifold :(
dont have an Idea for exhaust manifold yet
3" full exhaust
Fidanza Lightweight flywheel forgot how light 9lbs or something with ARP flywheel bolts
F1 Racing STage 4 clutch ARP pressure plate bolts
750cc injectors
Walbro 255 HP fuel pump

precision 5027e t3/t4 57trim......spools good on the street and good up to 400 whp easy

Thanks for trying to help but I talked to my tuner he said that the Garrett will work just fine for my goals. I have decided ill stick with the Garrett t3/60-1 .48a/r.
Someone can CLOSE this thread.

Almost positive I stated this before.

Its going to take ANY turbo awhile to make 18 psi. Just varies by size of the turbo.

Oh and BTW I'd ditch the XSPOWER intake mani for a stock one.

And I don't trust F1 clutches, a few of my buddies have had em and they wear down in 3,000 - 5,000 miles.

Good luck tho

Ya well money doesnt grow on trees thanks for the heads up but ill take my chances. Not everyone drives the same and I got the mani for cheap so why not right??? I hate XS Power anyways and didnt realize I bought an XS power Manifold until I seen it was stamped on the top of the manifold. So I said w/e we will see how this works out. The turbo I have choosen has been said that it has a powerband similar to the gsr's and spools quick and .48a/r with 3" DP will make it spool even faster but I sacrifice some top end Power but thats okay. This is my setup and I hope it does good for me and learn from it. Who closes threads anyways cause this THREAD is finished, I dont need anymore help or tips. Thanks for everything though.

Here's my setup that I made 305 HP on.

Stock FPR
RC 750's Injectors

MANAGEMENT:
Hondata S300 w/boost solenoid----but wasnt working.

305whp @6500rpms had to stop at 6500 due to boost creep. Boost Solenoid wasn't working so but put manual boost controller and made like 320whp @6500 but didnt help boost creep.
246trq @ 6500
18psi 92 octane.

I played with it and pushed psi to 20 and put in 20psi wastegate spring so I just guess and say 350whp. The boost creep really pisses me off do to the shitting manifold regardless how strong it is. Do you guys think something else would guess boost creep. No boost leaks or anything unusual, had my tuner check it out for me and he blames the manifold or wastegate piping position is funky.
I

Xs manifolds blow. Get a new turbo Mani
funny, I made the same power on less boost without head work except for cams.

Nice work tho

Ya im proud of it, I built everything myself, minus the machine work and I do plan on getting a ramhorn mani but I just hope my spool will be quick enough. Ill be pushing 20psi, you think I can reach 20psi by 5k?

my setup does, dont see why yours wouldnt

Why dont you try and use race fuel, im sure you could kick back your timing some and make more power. 18psi on 92, that would scare me.

n e ways, nice build. this is what i want to do, but cali laws suck so i have to go a different route.

ditch the manifold, and get a ramhorn. know they're expensive, but worth it from all the research im doing.

might want to think about going with a dedicated coil. the coil in the dizzy can get hot, and you can loose power for no reason.

I hope you balanced the bottom end really well if you are running the CTR crank pulley. I have seen them kill bearings on unbalanced motors. Only 305whp on 20psi dam that is low, tuner must suck or something is wrong. I plan to make close to 300whp on only 8-10psi on my stock LS Vtec. I plan on using the same turbo as you as well. Boost creep is noramlly cause by a cheap waste gate. It is Ebay? That or a waste gate that is too small. Did not see what type internal or external or what brand wastegate you using. Also if you dont have 3 inch turbo back that would help make more power and spool the turbo.
