well my swap is totally completed my car is way faster from the d15yb. The motor is a f22b dohc non vtec 2.2. Anyway everytime i shift from first two second a strange chirping sound comes in. Its like when i push the clutch in shift to second and when i let off the clutch and i get back on the gas chirppppppp. Same when i shift into third to fourth, five and reverse.

The swap is great so far but this sound is driving me crazy. Any hints guys thanks

Sounds like it happens when the inertia of the car is being changed, more so when it is added to (accelerated). This may just be something as simple as a lose bolt somewhere that moves a bit when you step on it. Look over all bolts, and make sure everything is tight, and or nothing is missing.

I think he is stating that it chirps the tires in every gear. Or, breaks traction.. or, peels out.. or burns rubber.. Whatever the hell you wish to call it.

I believe he is joking.

i wonder if thats true nah i would have to have more power for that but my tires look a little bald. i dont think i losing traction that fast

is it grinding????? do you have enought brake fluid (or clutch fluid) in the master cycinder cus if not it could not be lubricating the slave cylinder enough and it could be grinding against the cylider wall. and the only way you would be able to here it is at low rpm since you car has an aftermaket muffler you don hear it when you push the clutch in. and when you shift smooth you dont here it cuz its too low to here.

but idk i was just makeing somthing up but its worth a check right???

My old Accord never had this problem so I would assume it's something to do with you're clutch or tranny. I would lean more towards the clutch side. Might be your throwout bearing starting to go out on you. And even when your clutch is fully engaged, the throwout will still be turning but have little to no preasure on it. If the bearing is starting to go out then it will make a small squeeling sound at first which could be the noise you're hearing.

And if your clutch fliud is low, it won't cause this. It'll cause your clutch to not work properly. Very low fliud will cause air to flow into your clutch line causing a very spungy feeling in the pedal up until you loose all clutch control. Very similar to if your brake fluid goes too low, you loose brake power!

Same thing happened with my b18c.. turns out it was my cold air intake filter in (not so perfect condition) whistling as I shifted

This happens alot, when I had my other motor in my civic, if I hit the gass from low rpms, the air rushes through the cone sounding like a wistle/chirp.

no grinding both slave cylinder and brake fluid are full. i little cracks around the rubber part of the cone filter. but i do need to replace my slave cylinder though

check your header for a leak where it goes from 4 into 2

maybe there is air getting sucked in through those cracks in the intake, i can imagin that to cause a chirping sound.

also check your tranny fliud and make sure its at a desirable level if its low the bearing sinthe tranny may be churping under load (leting the clutch out and gassing it ) ir also the clutch disc may be glazing. does it feel solid or liek a slip?
