Well I have A Problem, I Bought A JDM P73 On Ebay And I Didnt Know It Had A Immobilizer in it So now I Need To Know How To Get it Removed.


Planning On Running The P73 On My B16 Block With A 12:5:1 CR.

Here Is A Pic Of My Block.

Oh Almost Forgot, Im Going To Be Running A B16 Head......Or Any Head That I Find For now.

i was told that jdm obd2b ecus dont run immobilizer's... (do you know what yours is like obd2 a or b) i know that for getting rid of usdm ecu's that have them you just use the factory honda mechanics diagnostic tool and then you can reset the ecu to use the "code" that your key and ignition is sending to the ecu.....pretty sure its even in the manual....well the factory honda manual...but how do you know if its the immobilizer, or if its even a real jdm ecu....check here to find out if you have what they told you

CRAP! I Was Sold A USDM ECU! But Then Again It Wont Fit On A USDM Harness So Thats Why He Is Sending the Other Connections.

im pretty sure you can...when we rebuilt my buddies 01 ls teg he got a diff. ecu from a diff. car and our boy came over with some kind of scan tool and reprogrammed the ecu right there at the house....so i know it can be done

actually the only reason it wont fit is because it looks like you are running a obd2 a harness with a obd 2 B ecu here lookie here....i used this same ecu on my 96 ek and had to order a harness from rywire...actually its for sale....https://hondaswap.com/parts-sale-tr...ion-wheels-pistons-rods-ek-dc-etc-new-197283/...

OBDII ECU Connector Types
Please note there are two types of OBDII ECU connectors (1996 and onwards vehicles) The correct type must be specified when ordering. Both type use 3 connectors (for manual transmissions).

Yep Its a USDM ECU......Ahh Crap Now I Really need To get Rid of that Darn immobilizer.

Ill Take it into A Honda dealership And Ill Let You Guys Know What They Say......Pray For Me!
 
Will Take Pics of The ECU tomorrow, Its Square So That Means Its A JDM ECU, I Talked To The Guy And he Said It Was Off A 2000 Honda ITR. :eek:

Also Talked To Honda And They Said They Might Be Able to help Me :D
