Do work
I guess this is sort of my review on some supplements I gave a try after reading great reviews on them. I considered myself a fairly strong guy, flat bench I was doing 205 while I weighed a whopping 142 lbs. I was curling the 45-50 lb dumbbells and curling 70 on the curl bar. That's really all I paid attention to. Well anyway, I discovered alcohol and went completely downhill. After realizing that my poor eating and not so good lifestyle was making me completely unhappy with my body, I did a 180 like I tend to do with a lot of things. Got back in the gym and eating right. Well there's guys there, like always, that are just jacked. And I sit there and wonder why I never ended up looking anything close to that, besides the fact that I stopped going to the gym, which is definitely part of it. Anyway, I wasn't getting the strength back that I wanted. My chest wasn't swelling like it used to, and I started doing dumbbell presses more than flat bench, in which I was doing the 50's. That's probably where I'm measuring this the most, is my dumbbell press. I did some research on some supplements I had seen in GNC, Anabolic Halo (by Muscle Tech.) After reading great reviews, other than its horrid taste, and it is horrid, I came across that people had the most gains when it was stacked with Muscle Tech's naNO Vapor, commonly called the Valo stack. So I thought long and hard about it, and looked for anything that may conflict with the creatine I was also taking. Finally I went out and spent the bajillion dollars on the 2. This, being about 2 and a half weeks on my stack, has been an immense week. From doing the 50's, 3 sets of 10, I last night did the 75's, 3 sets of 10. I'm also curling 90 lbs, but I struggle with that a bit. I don't know why I'm putting this on here, because this is Honda Swap, not "lets listen to daveholiday waste our time."

I don't know. I guess I just wanted to feel like a critic. And share my experience with someone since all my friends are lame and don't care about fitness.

Any negative side effects? Both taste like shit, and I have noticed an ever so slight amount of acne on my back. Big deal.

It's always nice to find out how certain supplements work for others in my opinion, Dave. Though because of two jobs it is hard as hell for me to workout at the gym (I've been using the scaled down version at my complex lately...not the same) I haven't taken as many supp's as I have in the past. The two primary I used to take were protein of course and Redline...aka, crack in a bottle.

Nowadays I use Meltdown for energy when I work my second job and at the gym I use N.O. Shotgun v.3. The first version of Shotgun tasted like ASS, but did deliver a considerable pump.

As far as I know, besides hitting your wallet quite hard, I have never read any negative side effects of the supplements you are taking, though if you are on any kind of medication I would make sure that it is not going to have an adverse effect on you while on any type of medication.

That said, if it works for you and makes you happy that is what counts, though if you do some more research, there are many other products out there that cost a LOT less which will do quite a bit more, if not, at least the same for you as those.

Case and point, GNC charges a SHIT TON for their products. Why? Advertising. They spend a gazillion dollars on advertising and make it up by charging through the ROOF for their products. If there is one near you, try checking out Vitamin Shoppe. Better yet, we always have our friend the internet. I have found many GREAT deals online with shipping included that beat any store I have found within a hundred miles of me. Just like building your car research will pay off a LOT...especially when your pockets aren't empty all of the time.

If you have any questions about any specific supplements you are looking for please message me and let me know. I search quite a few supplement sites for the best price whenever I am looking for something in particular. You could also Google your specific supplement and just go down the line on the sites that pop up.

Best of luck to you my friend and thanks for sharing.

I'm not a fan of anything that messes with my hormone level. I just got done doing a no-explode cycle . I'm up to 200ish in weight.

And your numbers? You better be 200lbs and 5% bf to curl 75's in good form. I'll post pics of my body building buddy's and maybe 1 or 2 can do 75's, like 6 times and those are 17-18" arms.

I'm calling bull shit unless you video tape it and scale the weights. Those numbers are humongous for dumb bells.

AT that. Glad you're back on the horse. I fell off last summer and got fat and now I'm 8 weeks in.

I guess I should have been more detailed. I wish I could curl 75 lb dumbbells. I was talking more of on the upright machines, which in turn probably isn't as accurate as freeweights. Whatever. You don't have to call bullshit on that because I wasn't clear lol, sorry.

As for my numbers, I'm 5'9 and I weighed in at 156 today.

Edit: The next time I get to the gym with a buddy, I'll get a video if you still want it.
And as for my bf level, I haven't a clue. It's not a lot, but it's not near 5%. I'll bet its more like 12-15%.

Sorry I didn't mean to jump down your throat. I just know a ton of people that take stuff like halo and make humongous claims, and mostly it comes out to bad form and exaggeration. (not you).

At that. You're pretty light. Eat man. Eat. My lifting partner is probably 5'9 and he weighs in at 175 at about 10%. He's super yoked. He eats like a pig and works out super hard.

I understand completely what you mean, no biggie. And I actually do eat, a lot. I just don't seem to gain much weight at all, unless I start pounding Wendys, which is all too easy being a manager and not paying for anything.

I'm talking carbohydrates, gainers, creatine, and a shit ton of protein.

If my 135 lb 5'7" korean roommate can get to 170, anyone can gain weight.

hmm, good info, thanks.
i've been considering whether or not to take supplements.
im 5'11, weigh between 155 and 165. changes every week, dunno why, water weight im pretty sure.

but i just moved up today doing 65lb dumbbells on chest.
started at 30lb about 4 months ago so i think im moving rather nicely.

curling i think im about 35lb dumbbells.

my main focus is that i want to lean out some to get cut some more.
problem is that running hurts my calves like a bitch, feels like knives in the bone.
its either shin splints or jsut the fact that i have never run before, but im trying to go at it slowly and progress to longer runs.
