I have a 90 Civic Si, soon to be Mini-Me Z6. At my local auto wrecker they have a EG Civic with a DC 4-2-1 header that they will give to me for $150. Code HHC5013.

On some website it said it fits:

Honda Civic DX/ LX/ EX/ Si 1992-1995
Honda Civic EX Only 1996-2000
Honda Del Sol S/ Si 1993-1997

I noticed the o2 sensor is right where the mid-pipe bolts on. Then I went home and looked at a motor I have sitting around and the mid-pipe bolts on pretty much at the oil pan (no room for the o2 sensor).

So I'm guessing the DC header will be longer than the stock one to make room for the o2 sensor. Kinda dumb question but will the o2 sensor clear the axels, ect?

So if the header is longer will I have to shorten my mid pipe to account for it?

Basically what I'm getting at is will it fit onto my car?

Sorry if its complicated. Thanks, Brad

I'd say do a quick measurement on both (if possible). That's probably the best way to figure this out...

Yea I guess.

The way I see it is a D-series motor is a D-series motor. I don't think much changes over time but idk.

Well that's true, but consider that parts like the intake and exhaust manifolds often differ between different versions of the same engine. It's possible that the oil pan on the 92-95 engines is different to allow for that sensor, or it's very possible that the two headers are indeed different lengths. Measuring them is probably going to be the quickest way to get a definitive answer...

I know for a fact the oxygen sensor on a stock 92-95 Civic is on the front by the radiator not at the back by the oil pan.

I'll go back and measure it and see what I can do.
