i am planning to get rid of my honda fit here pretty soon. i want to replace it with an 96-00 ek. im looking into either a jdmb18 type R or perhaps a b16 type R. i want the b18 just for the sake of having a bit more power. i plan on eventually putting in a vortech as well. my question is will a b18 swap directly bolt in or will i have to do a bunch of shit to make it work? will i get to keep my a/c and power steering and whatnot? im not looking to put this car on the track. thats not important to me. neither are times. just looking for a classy EK thats fun to drive and that i can be proud to own lol

i will be getting a settlement check here pretty soon and as soon as i do i will be in search of a worthy EK. im thinking either black, white or silver. but i do like the STI blue with the bronze rims look :)

if only putting a k in my fit didnt mean sacrificing a/c and modifying the engine bay i would do that

I suggest you do some research before you asking retarted questions like that.

A ek had a d series stock correct?
how would a b series directly bolt in??????
Buy the motor mounts for 300 bucks and then it will bolt in.

And just because i feel sorry for you any type r is high compression if you boost it in anyway super or turbo you better be ready to shell out the big bucks to get it tuned. Because if you did any research you want a low compression engine to boost not a high compression. But if your stuck on stupid and want the type r I hope you have alot of money to A. get it tuned for boost or B. to repair it when you dont take anyones advice and slap a ebay kit on it and blow it up
 
my h22 in eg del sol wasnt that hard of a swap even the wiring everyone made sound like the hardest thing in the world but i found out first hand they are a bunch of babys but b18 ek i know you wont have any chasis mods to do all i can think of is motor mounts maybe cv shafts not sure tho maybe not, and most likely wiring get a ek that came out with vtec and the wiring will be a breeze it will be even more easy if you convert it from obd2 to obd1 if i was you i would do an eg all obd1 never workd with obd2 so i dont know hardly any of the differences other than its harder to swap get a obd1 eg and i could walk you threw every step lol

i am well aware of the high compression. i have done SOME research. when i said bolt in i meant with mounts obviously. tuning is not an issue. i will do what it takes. and as long as we're talking about retards, i suggest you learn how to spell it first so you dont look like one yourself. you dig?

Ok, Im sure you had to put a little effort into the swap.... this guy is asking for someone to tell him excatly how to do it so he doesnt have to get off his lazy ass and do 20 miutes of research... not really dissin' you but come on now it should be just that easy to sign up for website not read ANY threads and just ask how to do it
 
i didnt say there wasnt any effort it just gets old hearin b series swapers say how difficult it is well when i crankd it over and everything was fine it seemd like it was easy as hell compared to what people had to say about it and during the swap at times i wish people wouldve just answerd some of the questions i had
 
im not asking exactly how to do it. damn youre dumb. NOWHERE in my post did i ask how to do it! perhaps a couple more english classes are in order for those with lowered standards of education. i am simply asking if there is a significant difference in difficulty between installing a b16 and b18. go reply elsewhere lol. my time is valuable. though i do like insulting you, i have research to do haha

yo JACKASS! mounts for any b series motor into a d chassis are the same, no fucking difference. i havent even attempted a swap yet and i know this shit wtf!?

hey no need to be a jerk... he's got all the help he needs him and hdel2sol2 are going to do the swap together... and when they forget to omg lets say connect the drive axles and they can scratch each others head and say i wonder why it doesnt work

good job you get a check plus but he never askd if the b18 or b16 mounts were different theres more to mounts in installing a swap
