Race gas was $5 a gallon
Nitrous was $2 a pound

Took a 50 gallon drum from work and filled that bitch up with race gas, so I might sell it lol or start running race gas. I know I put some in my car and it ran like shit, loved the smell though.

They might be doing it again 2m so if your in VA it would be well worth the drive lol

what octane we talking? 100+? 110? honestly only my turbo lebaron has responded w/ better power and mpg to higher octanes (speaking of 87-93). rx7 FC didn't, turbo dsm didn't, turbo 200sx didn't.

You do realize that your vehicle has to be tuned to run on race gas in order for it to run properly, right?

Fucking morons.

hey just one moron. never tried race gas, only went up to 93 and i was saying that over a 6 octane spread only one engine was different. suck it. unless you think 93 is race gas bike boy.

dude when are you going to fix your "ride" section? accrod= not a real vehicle
it may help you avoid other users from getting on your ass about it.
plz fix it. lol

and also go get an sat prep book, read it front to back, do all the grammar reviews specifically, and then post something that is at least spelled correctly.

edit... by the way man, im not trying to insult you, im just pointing out the fact that your spelling could use some tlc

dude i'm not trying to put race gas in my car. just inquiring on the price out of curiosity. last time i checked a few years back it was $4-5.

i see how my octance statement could be a little unclear. i'm not implying that +6 octane did little to nothing for most of my 'higher' output cars, so that +13 to +20 octane won't either. it was more about conveying me being impressed w/ my cheap chrysler motor for influencing mpg/hp when other mostly stock engines didn't.

and yes i do realize running race gas w/ standard compression on an econobox (yet kina sporty since light) car won't do jack. if i were to try that perhaps i would try putting nos in my fuel tank as well :O maybe in between i'd full up my tank strictly w/ octane booster. then buy an electric supercharger. (disclaimer: these 3 statements are a joke)

i'm not driving a car that gets 35-37 mpg so that i can run race gas.

and the man w/ the key, 91accordwithwork, has added to the ridiculousness of this thread. in before the lock.

I paid like 275 for it because it was such a sweet deal. I used like 4 or 5 gallons in my car, but i dont know if i want to sell it. Some of my friends use race gas in their bikes, and cars. So might just hang on to it.

55 gallons is a lot of fuel that could become a "liability" if it just "sits" around for too long. It would suck to see you sit on that barrel and not be able to use it for whatever reason.

I put race gas in my bike (Yamaha YZ450F) and you can tell a difference in it from regular pump gas, it makes it more snappy, but I run the cheap shit in my car.

that bike also makes 12.3:1 compression... higher compression motors benefit from higher octane fuel lower compression motors do not and more often run like ass due to not being able to compress the fuel enough to get a thorough ignition and good burn
