im woundering how to remove the ABS out of a 95 eg ex. im in the process of build into a track car. the car has already been completly gutted and lexan windows have been put in. so i dont need a bunch of post of people say thats a stupid idea or your a retard. im build a track car the car is only driven at the track.

IIRC, you could just pull the fuse unless you are trying to save weight by removing the whole shebang. If thats the case you could swap the brakes off of a USDM EM1.

BTW, Ive always driven cars W/O ABS. hell, my last Honda which was much newer then yours ( a 2000 EM1 Si) didn't even come with ABS. It wasnt even a frigging factory option, at least not on the USDM models! to say you are insane for not wanting/needing it for a street car is a little retarded, whats more you DONT want ABS in a track car. Thats like building a car to road race and keeping yaw control VSC on!

 i dont think i understand the secound part of this.... im wanting to ditch the abs to make a bit more room int the engine bay and save the extra weight....i dont need abs for a car that is going to be going straigth

No. not the engine bay. You would get a very slight weight drop by removing the sensors, pump valves, and so on (read: all the stuff associated with ABS). Not really worth it IMO, since that's only a few pounds (depending on the type of ABS Honda employs on that model; e.g. 1 to 4 channel & sensor styles) at best for a lot of extra work.

In any case, when there is a flaw detected in the system (i.e. when the computer detects a problem like, oh... say.... a broken or "pulled" ABS fuse) it goes into standard non ABS mode. Which is the answer to your problem anyway.

Whats that got to do with anything? ABS isn't wanted on basically any car which is driven at or near the limits on a track, especially those with turns.
