need more out of my B18 r swap

was up guys ...My question is how to get more power out of my B18 type r ... I know i cant boost cuz of my already high compression... it is running hondata s300 p28 dc headers all the stock ITR internals ... but i want more...please tell me I'm not limited to what i can do cuz i have a type r, If that was the case i should of droped a gsr and boosted the shit out of it.. some one out there has to own or knows some one with a type r with nasty power....:D
 
maybe with custom pistons to lower the cr?? then boost? idk really.. i have been trying to find a good way as well, but not many people do it very often, i dont have one, just curious about what swap would be right fo me in the future lol
 
dont get me wrong i love my swap its fun to drive and it pulls hard but ... after 2 years it seems i could get more out of it...what happened to all the people that was all on the b18 type r nuts.. this is a hell of a motor there has to be a way to get 240-260 hp out of this...easy
 
i dont know i still think there is more power to be made... a friend told me today to get stage 2 cams, ITB's and tune real good and that should shut me up....lol
 
boost it with a good tune. it's stock itr, compression isnt that high.
 
lol yes but it's not so high a lil boost cant be handled.

stock 10.4:1 b16's can handle large increases in power. not common for someone to boost an itr but it's out there. google it. cheapest, most fun, and possibly gas conservative method of getting more power..
 
i would say itb look like a pain the ass....and i dont like how easily stuff can just get sucked into your motor with them
 
jrsc and be done with it. i have personally seen turbo'd itr's. its not a big deal, but if you have the money, just get ther supercharger.
 
why did you get a motor without researching it first? you should probably have looked at this sorta thing before hand or the b18c possibilities.. either way you can still get some power out of it, like everyone else said... JRSC

because it's probably stolen and was cheap to get.
 
not many boosted type r's out there...wouldnt know were to begin...

You begin where all other turbo builds should begin, and that's with research.

If you had researched at all prior to asking this question, you would know:

-You can turbo a "Type ARRRR" motor just as easily as any other.
-You will need an immaculate tune.
-You should keep the power below 230-250 whp if you want to retain reliability.

Cliffsnotes: It can be done. Research, and do it up.
