Man I always have the strangest problems with my car. Now whenever I go put gas in my car...it doesnt want to start....well i take that back...it starts and runs for about1/2 a second then dies. Then it wont start again for a couple of minutes. I have to sit there trying over and over again to start it looking like a dumbass until it decides to start. I have all new plugs, wires, cap, rotor. I went online and noticed some other people having the same problems...mostly accords. Does this sound familiar to anyone. Oh and it only does it when i get gas. I can hear the fuel pump priming and I can run the car, shut it off and then start it again just fine...only when I get gas does it do this.

The times it doesn't start up, can you hear the fuel pump priming or does that not turn on?

are you dead on e when you put gas in it when it does it

Don't top off the tank EVER EVER EVER EVER. When it clicks, its DONE. On a lot of cars, you will ruin all the evap stuff, starting with the carbon canister and vaccum components. End up running so rich that it won't run. They get flooded when you put more fuel to the car that the tank can't hold, it flows through the evap lines and fills up the canister. If you add fuel all the way to the top of the filler neck, it will find its way into everything in the evap system.

i overfilled mine once on accident, it still said less than half a tank..
what are the symptoms fuel getting into places its not suppose to be?

Depends on the car and how it handles its purge, usually difficulty starting on some and random stalling on others. Usualy a purge or vapor managment valve will open to allow fuel vapors into the intake from the carbon canister. If it sucks in raw fuel instead of vapor, it will flood the engine. Some cars are designed to open during startup, some are designed to open during hot cruise.

Well lately i've only been putting about half a tank in. And no its not on E...usually fairly low though.
