p28 chip not working ?

I recently did a swap and changed my p28 eprom from mugen to skunk and the chip is not working and there is no way for me to tell if the previous chip did iether ? is there anything that could prevent a chip from working ? is there a sertant way it has to face or something please help

Did you get the chip from eBay? My suggestion if you did, take it to a tuner and get the darn thing tuned.

nah the chip was tuned before i put it in and my boy got one before me and his worked fine ....is there a diffrence in socketing between usdm and jdm ? could that be my problem ????

That's a bad attitude son. Do you think everyone here is rich and had their parents buy their cars and mods for them? If this is how you're going to be, then don't expect much help from the members here. And FYI, saying "well I can't afford a better chip right now" is a really shitty excuse. If you can't afford a decent tune at the moment, then you should just run the stock ECU over a crap E-Bay chip which might actually damage your engine in the long run...

As for your question, let me ask YOU a question. What's your setup like? What engine do you have? What modifications do you have? Why do you think the chip's not working? Answer these questions and then I might be able to help you...

I know that not everyone here is like that ...thats why we drive hondas not ferraris ...dont let my agrivation give out the wrong inpresion...and i figured out my problem i had the wrong size compasitors and currrently saving up for a neptune tunning thanx for your help and input !!!!

Oh and by the way the skunk chip was not a ebay chip ...it was just considerd a eprom becuase it was not specificaly tuned for my car ...and what i meant was i can not aford individual tuning right now thanx again...
