i just bought a 94 del sol with a d16z6,and i am looking for some easy mods to make it faster,look cooler,and ride better.please help me,i am kind of doing this on a budget but im open to all suggestions.

lower it some put the stock hood back on it, maybe a lip kit at the most.
 
a better suspension, brakes, tires.

any easy mods wont add enough power to make it worth it. get it to handle well and learn to drive it. a good driver will beat a faster car any day. oh, and drag racing sucks anyways, everybody here likes to turn.
 
have you decided to pull you power steering and A/C???

those aren't really bolt ons more than unlocking you motors potential

Not worth it IMO for the minimal power gain. My civic doesn't have PS or A/C and it sucks driving in the summer, and in the city. I love the car to death, but I just bought a maxima as a dd because I need these luxuries for regular driving.

ha yea definately have to agree. i wouldn't of removed a/c from my car but unfortunately it and all its components were long gone before i was the owner : (
 
removing ac, and especially power steering turns hondas into a piece of shit.

why the hell would anybody want to drive a car that is made to have power steering without it? it's ricer propaganda. only idiots do that shit.
 
ok i have had 3 of these damn things first thing i did is get a vtec controller lower in upper and lower sway arms straight pipe and light weight flywheel and go have fun lol.

maybe some people like driving without power steering..
i kinda like it, but when im smoking a cig or trying to pull in a tight spot its a bitch.

i cut my belt off cuz it was squeeling like a bitch and the pully lost its nut anyway. so i just took it off for the mean time.
 
In answer to 'why drive without power steering'...

I've driven many cars, both old and new with PAS and I think it's wank. I don't like light steering, I want to know exactly when the tyres are at their best slip angle, and unless I was running a million degrees of negative camber I would avoid PAS or remove it on any car I had unless it was just a runabout which I didn't give a crap about. Personally I think it sucks, you think otherwise and will probably call me a ricer despite the fact my car came without it. If someone likes something and you don't, it doesn't mean one of you is wrong, you just have different tastes and different ideas about what is better. That's what being human is... being DIFFERENT scary thought that.

hondas don't all come with power steering.

the ones that don't have it from the factory are set up different than those with power steering.

non-ps=rack and pinion
ps=power assisted steering.

i could give 2 shits about your originality. it's a fucking honda. unless you put a neon orange helicopter propeller on it, it wont be original. It's not my opinion, it's fact, that pulling your a/c and ps is not going to give you extra power. to take away luxury amenities because someone thinks it will make them go faster, makes them an idiot. even if it did do anything, it's not like it's worth it. to lose the luxury of ac and tearing a rotator cuff parallel parking to knock off .001 second off of a 1/4 mile makes you a tool and a ricer.

if your car didn't come with ps, great. your car functions normal. if it did come with ps, and you remove it because you think it will make your car faster, you are a fucktard and a ricer.

if this doesn't apply to you, ignore and move along.

I guess i lost the luxury of the AC and PS when i swaped my motor but my luxury is speed, i personally like have no PS, driving a car with it feels to touchy and sensitive.

But my guess is you are 16 just watch the fast and the furious 1, 2 and 3 and now u want your car to be a evo, skyline, or supra and go super duper fast and be able to purge the nitrous and hear the cool bov and have 18" subs mounted on your trunk. dont forget the neon.

Do some research and figure out your own plan instead of asking for other peoples opinions. your budget is going to be different then other peoples and you didnt even tell us what it was so how can anyone help you? Do what you think "looks cool" to the car because when it comes down to it you're the one whos going to drive it everyday. Do some research of performance before you just ask hey, what makes my car sound loud and how do i spin tires to make smoke!!
