how is the SH different from the SE (canada) ???

how do i identify if it really is an SH besides looking at the trunk?

is there a significant difference between the two models...???

thanks alot in advance for any help. oh yeah, if any one knows a site where i can get more info about these cars that would help too.

but they all come with the 2.2L DOCH vtec? i guess one has ATTS and the other doesnt? i guess thats my realy concern, wheather or not some models have vtec and others dont

well thats the thing, im gonna look at the car tommorow and i thought id get some help on what to look for under the hood. like on civics and integras the engine code is on the block (B16, B18etc...) but i havent really looked at a prelude yet

how do you know if its an h22?
he didnt even say what year.
mines a b21a1

if its a 99 then it is prob. a h22a vtec

All 97-01 Preludes have an H22. The difference between the SH and other versions is that the SH has the ATTS system. If it's truly an SH then it should have badges on it indicating that and indicating the ATTS system.

Oh, and yes, H22 engines have the code stamped on the block just like other Honda engines do...

Just out of curiosity, how would you know if it had ATTS if the car was de-badged? Anything blatantly obvious when looking for it?

Never looked at/owned a newer Prelude, so it's a learning experience/knowledge for me.

That one I'm not sure on honestly. You could probably figure it out by looking at the transmission code. As far as other indicators, yeah I don't know...

its either a H22 or H23. the h22 is vetch and the h23 isnt

Did you read through this thread before answering? Obviously not. The question was already answered, multiple times. Your answer is just redundant, as well as inaccurate...he's talking about the 97-01 Preludes, ALL OF WHICH HAD H22s. They quit putting H23s in them after 1996...

I would figure a quick look underneath should show you a lot. I would assume that the drive train setup would look noticeably different with the atts
