ehhh... sorry dude... not really impressed. i've heard a lot worse, for sure... ehh, i don't even like hip hop... so ignore me lol

opinion ignored. lol
it takes true hip hop appreciation to enjoy my music.
im not like those bang bang shoot em up, pimps and hoes, 12 ft gold chain wearing, 14 ft platinum chain wearing mother fuckers riding on 46"s with a 45 by their dick. lol
i keep it real.

I only listened to the first song...

You got your own style, i'll give you that, but i'm not feelin it. You sound like you're trying to be a wanna-be DMX by yelling the last syllable of the word for the end of each bar. Also, there's parts where you try to squeeze a million lyrics into one small section to try and keep up with the same time length as your other bars. Is that due to lack of ability to come up with good beats? (some people just can't make beats. It's not a knock on you. It's just fact. That's why so many rappers buy beats off of Dr. Dre, Timbaland, ect...you know what I mean :)) or did you write the song the way it is and tried to add a beat to it afterwards?

This is just my opinion of course. I'm just letting you know where I think you can make improvements that would be appealing to me. Good luck with all the work

i dont yell the last syllable, i just emphasize. lol
youd know if i was yelling, like in memories.
half way through, more towards the end..

i dont make my own beats, i mostly just use instrumentals.
thats an atmosphere instrumental.. you dont like it?

listen to take a bite.

and i think that the first song flows pretty well to the beat.
but i do have the problem sometimes of saying to much in such a little space..
the first few lines are like that, but the rest flows.. or so i thought.

oh and i agree with your signature. lol

I'll check it out a little later. i got work in 4 hours lol. I gotta get my ass to sleep lol.

i think you have a good voice for it - and once you start living inside the beat with your lyrics it'll hit harder so you won't have to emphasize so much.

thanks for the listen!

I'm one of the few music guys on here.

production wise, its pretty bad, sounds like your peaking your mic pretty often, are you using a basic computer mic? the hi hat used on your drum is annoying as shit, the piano sounds like a loop you found off the internet that just repeats over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over... Base line hits a few lines that are off key with the rest of the song, no doubt you did it for a reason but I found it really annoying that it happens every single time you loop it, every 8 seconds or so... mix it up a bit if you're going to do that...

Thankfully the hardest part, (your vocals) was pretty on beat and kept up with things, most people screw that up so you have something to work with, just learn how to write music. and get a worth while setup since you have TONS of background noise and it just sounds messy. Your vocals also sound very muffled/flat either a mic issue or how you're mixing it. think of singing over a phone... makes me think of that.

What did you use? fruityloops or acid?

over the phone is a bit exaggerated, but youre right.. my mic is pretty shitty.
but its not just a basic computer mic, youd hear my breath A LOT more if it was.

i didnt make the beats.. i have a feeling that youre talking about the cycle of music song, yeah?
thats an atmosphere instrumental.
the only beat thats really original is the one for the song memories.. that one has my brother playing guitar.
i used audacity to record, im not really too focused on the production value as much as i am just getting something recorded to get out there so people know about me.
but its not just something i threw together in 5 minutes.
now that you mention it though, the bass on that song is kind of annoying.. lol
i never really noticed it, i pay more attention on what im writing or what im saying.. haha

Then leave music out all together.

I know you're using loops or something like it for your drums, the hi hat is really annoying.

click click click click...

Learn to use more then one loop, or how to edit them to make it difference, change it up. Rushing to get your stuff out there is a BAD THING TO DO. don't rush if it means giving people some crap stuff. People don't play a song and thing, well clearly hes just trying to show off his voice and the rest is not meant to be heard...

you have like 5+ songs on your myspace page, F that, work on 1 song til it's 100% then post it, not 5 badly done songs.

well see.. I DONT MAKE THE BEATS!
lol
i spend time on my lyrics.. but i dont touch the beats.
im not trying to get noticed for the beats, because somebody already has.
i have fruity loops and all kinds of other production programs, but the only thing i edit is my flow.
i dont have the patience to fuck with beats.
its not my forte.

and i have 6 songs on my myspace.. lol

you don't seem to see the point. You don't make the beats but you're using them for a beat, you chose that beat. Either learn to do your own, mod someone elses, or drop it all together. Just because you don't make them, doesn't mean it sounds good.
You're putting your name on it, when I hear your music I don't hear just your voice, I hear someone trying to put together a song and for the most part (the stuff you didn't do) sounds BAD.

Do I look the other way and look at only your voice? hell no, there's more to a song then just your voice, if I had to rate your music (and I like every single form of music when it's done right) I'd say about a 2 or 3 out of 10, if you dropped the music and did it free style using a somewhat ok mic, I'd say you're closer to a 7 or 8 since you do keep it on beat and seem to hit it right. but my god, your music as a whole SUCKS.

Not trying to be an ass, just trying to get you to understand where I'm coming from, you're only hurting yourself by putting that out. either drop the music sing straight up or learn to do the music right or pay someone like me to do the music for you.

Sonar 8
Kontakt or Gigasampler software.
a bunch of drum loops/samples.
a mic worth more then 20 dollars.
mixer for mixing your vocals and changing hi/low/mids could also be done using software but I prefer a real mixer.
Vocal software for Sonar, so you can easily edit your vocals on the fly.
some nice monitors
a few books on how to use all your software.

That's would be a good setup for you. =)

i plan on buying better recording equipment.
i already have thousands of loops and samples.
i have sampling software.
i have a million programs.. i just never use any of them cuz i pay more attention to what im saying and how it sounds then how the production sounds.
im not a producer, im a rapper.
but ill try to increase the production quality.

No matter how great you rap or how good someone can sing, if it's not marketed right, it will never go anywhere unless you get super lucky and happen to run across a big name person who just so happens to give you a chance.

Just keep in mind, mainstream music, what you hear on the radio, is about 99% based on what people up stairs think and want to do, no matter how great you are, unless they see you being someone they can market, they wont give a damn, so to do it on a small scale you really need to put something together the little guys (people like us on the internet) will want and spread the word. Not something easy to do. Even more so if you're just trying to get your voice out there, some people will play a song 10-15 seconds before turning it off if it doesn't catch their attention.

First thing I heard was that crappy ass hi hat, if it wasn't for you being a forum member I would have shut it off asap.

If you have the software, learn it and use it, also make a point to BUY the software, don't use kazaa/bearshare specials, I admit if I can't get demos of samples I will download kazaa specials when it comes to samples but only because 4 out of 5 sample/loops programs sucks. too many little guys trying to put together crap. However if I find something I like, I BUY IT, why? because I make money off music, and if you make money off your music the last thing you want to do is have something like illigal software to come back to bite you on the ass. and it will.

If you're serious about doing music, do it right. don't half ass it.

i dont like mainstream, nor am i in a hurry to become mainstream.
i just want to make music that i like, and that other people like.
if i make money off it, yay me. lol
i have a few friends that produce stuff, i usually just talk beats with them though, never asked them to make my vocals better.
seems kinda brittany spearsish to me..
