OK everyone, I've recently purchased and installed a B16A automatic to put in my 95 Civic EX. Before you bash me on the auto, please allow me to state this. I've driven manuals for 17 years, and would love for this to be one, but it will be driven by my wife, and I've recently developed a herniated disk in my back that when acts up, pushes on my sciatic nerve, and give me severe pain in my clutch leg, so, an automatic is best for me at this time.
OK, to the question. After getting the swap done, I've found that the tranny that came with my B16 (jdm) is junk, and I need a new one. Will an auto from a 94+ auto B18 (Integra LS) work? From what I've read, it should, but I'm getting confused about people talking about the TCM (tranny control). Is this something I'm going to have to worry about? I've got a P30 ecu that came with the engine, and wired in the knock sensor. Will the P28 that was in the car work?
Sorry, but I've tried searching, and can't find exactly the answers I'm looking for, and I've run into enough obstacles while doing this swap that I'd rather not run into more.
Thanks!
