Here ya go, get it out of your system. :p

In my defense...

We've been over the truck thing enough to know that a pickup won't work, but a van plated as a truck for hauling and equipment is ideal. IE a van plated as a truck isn't a passenger vehicle.

I understand there is a difference between a pickup truck and a GMC van, but considering they'd both be plated the same if they're used for hauling, equipment or as a work only vehicle (as per the company and how it's insured in Indiana), then it can be called a truck.

Read about it... then scroll down the the disability plate... I love it.

BMV: Regular License Plates

Or are permanently blind or visually impaired.

LOL

Now lets have it, convince me to call it a van and not a truck.

It won't happen, but I'll have fun watching you try. :D

You can put a camper or trailer plate on a civic, and guess what, it's still a car.... not a camper.

you lose.

Dude just because it has a truck tag it doesn't classify it as a truck. I got a dodge work van and it has a truck tag but its not classified as a truck. I got a seat belt ticket cause i thought the same thing.

Conclusion: It is certainly a van. But it can properly be called a truck.

I'm talking about the actual classification they use for the vehicle, not the fucking name smart-ass. Also in case you guys didn't know, most of thos 'vans' out there were built on a truck chassis pretty much up until year 2000 or so.

:lmao: I have a work van I use for carpentry. Has two seats and has truck tags. Doesn't mean its a truck. It certainly isn't. More like a ford econonoline E-150.

Hey guys do you like muh truck?

Um, no you can't legally put a camper or trailer plate on a civic. I guess if you put a bed cover on a pickup, you can call it a van because it's enclosed.

My truck is used to haul supplies, not people. It's not a passenger van. It's a work vehicle classified as a truck.

My e150 is registered as a van and my Silverado as a truck.

again, the plate on it does not change what the vehicle is.

I can put 12 candles on an xmass tree.... that does not make it a Manora (sp?).
i can out bowling shoes on and go golfing... that does not make them golf spikes.

my trunk is used to haul 'supplies' not people.

you lose.

you drive a van. not a truck.

now, go pick up some kids at soccer practice :D

There in lies my point, pastey one. It's not a passenger vehicle. It's not equipped to drive and ride as a passenger van. It's a 2 seat cargo vehicle used for hauling and work purposes. In fact, if I had someone riding in the back'seat' and got pulled over, I'd get ticketed for it.

*gasp* holy jesus tap dancing christ... isn't that the definition of a ... (dare I say this again?) ... truck?!?!

Thanks, now that I've won this, I'll continue calling it a truck and you'll just have to stop commenting on it whenever I say truck.

No. If ford, or GMC calls it a van. Then its a van regardless of what you license it as. Unless you hack off the back half of the covered area then its called a van. Specifically a Cargo Van.

Don't believe me, go ask your GMC sales person you bought your savanna from.
Maybe GMC | 2009 Savana Cargo Van: Features, Photos, Accessories can clear this up for you.

The all knowing dmv licenses it as a truck because they don't have a tab or substandard for exceptions that don't fit like CARGO VANS.

EDIT: If you find anywhere on GMC's website where they call this cargo van as a "truck" then I will UPS you a fucking cookie.
