again 35$ on the line, which bracket and motor mount do i use ?

Before you get too excited about doing the swap, check with your local DMV. Placing an older engine in a newer chassis is--most often--illegal. Not to mention the Z6 is a more viable option, and falls within the same year as your chassis.

IMO, sell the motor you have, or trade it for a Z6, and proceed from there.

dmv here dont care and a6/z6 setup is better for boost the z6 {:

I would use the mount that came with the motor. I looked around and I don't see any custom mounts for this swap. The mount that came with the motor looks like it should work, Install the motor and check it out, it should line up if not then retry.

will the bracket that actually bolts to the stock z6 block transfer over to the a6? if so all you have to do is then install the stock eg mount onto the transferred over z6 bracket, and you'll be good to go.

swap the driver side bracket and mount off of the 92-95 motor onto the 88-91 and your done the rest will bolt in

im sorry buut..why the hell would you want to? that is pretty much worthless to do IMO. boosted or not the d16a6 is crappola

Wow Hatchet, you should do some research first.

The a6 provides a good platform, much like the z6 does. Both are good motors, both have potential, and both have been proven. It's a matter of opinion as to which one is better. As far as the OP is concerned, I'm sure he has the motor and doesn't want to spend any more money to get his car running again, so he is doing what he has to do. I recommended the z6 in one of my previous posts simply because it's what came in the 92-95 Civics.

OK GUYS LISTEN TO ME,

im swaping in a ALL MOTOR 12:1 CR D16A6/Z6 swap. The D16a6 with ZC pistons is a hell of a daily driver.

ANYWASE the 92-95 civic brackets are DIFFERENT the vx bracket and the z6 are WAY DIFFERENT, so no its not just swap bracket, i allready bought a 92-5 d16z6 bracket and 92-95 vx bracket and 88-91 si bracket and none of them will work,

if im not wrong i need the d15b7 , anybody that did this can be 100% sure, and last anybody have pictures of the timing side on the engine with the covers on so i can c how the mount is drille don the motor ? { DRILLING SPOTS}

well let me put it like this, i put a bracket and mount off of a z6 onto a d15b2 and it fit fine in a 92-95 civic

well im just sayin...into a 94 civic seems kinda pointless...another ef maybe... i mean i know hes already got that motor buuut theres just no way id spend the time swappin it in. id definately find a bigger motor lol

Dito exept other way around here haha! :)... oh and 1 note... I put a D15B in a 94 DX Coupe.... I Pulled it from a totaled 89 CRX... and used the stock Mounts from my DX to install it! So just gathering a guess this should work! haha!

Well, I don't know if he said it, but he's upgrading from a D15Z1 to a D16A6. The A6 is a huge improvement over the Z1, and has a lot of potential...especially over the D15Z1. The D-series require a few "tricks" to really exploit their potential...but it's there. As far as it being a 94; the VX and CX's weighed less or about the same as the 90-91 Si's.

D16A6VX, I don't know if you saw my post on OCO yet, but looks like my 88's may have different brackets compared to the 92-95 brackets. If this is true, you'd have to drill the block or bracket, or get a custom motor mount(which I'm guessing ESP or Innovative could do....or just make your own)

you have to change the bracket on the block behind the timing cover to one off a 92-95 and then use the 92-95 engine mount
