im making him do everything the hard way so in the end he will have earned it and so that he will have an understanding of his car. its a 94 integra i picked from someone who was havin problems with i. after it has sat for awhile, i figure i will let my bro have it. he has, well we have, a little over a year to get it going.

Thought about doing a similar thing for my nephew. Pick him up a cheap civic with problems and help him repair it.. He wants to learn about vehicles but his father is not at all mechanically inclined. Figured it would be a great project/learning experience for him.

yeah, same here. i had originally picked it up to mess with for myself. but i have to many project cars already.

here is the back of my project car....

rhino...i think thats an awesome idea and i hope your little brother appreciates what you are doing for him.

I think once his brother fires it up and drives it and can call it his own is when he will appreciate it even more.

please, for the love of god, make sure this thing doesn't get stolen. invest in a kill switch, and a gps. $500 could get back the car. there is nothing worse than putting a lot of time and money into a car and having it stolen. but it's even worse when you build it from the ground up.

good plan.
i helped my lil bro build his pc and install everything, much easier, really helps them learn and be sulf-sufficient for fixing things.

dont think you've mentioned it.. but whats the plan with the car... color? motor? etc...

thanks guys. i think he will appreciate it. he better, ill stick my foot up his............. but the plan for the car is simple, i think. stock bumpers, maybe a lip kit, wheels and tire(not sure which wheels yet). probably gonna go with an ls/vtec. that might change. but i have a friend that has most everything i need to do the swap from an old car he has. paint wise, its gonna be atomic orange, its a new corvette color. burnt orange basically. id like to two tone it, but we will see. i also wanna get him set up in NASA or SCCA. something i have been wanting to do also.

You are a GREAT brother, Rhino. Rep! I recently did the same for my little brother, minus I went through the trouble of fixing it up while he paid for it all. He LOVES his EG. Not to thread jack but he called me two days ago asking how many gallons a Civic has. He said he was so surprised that it filled up with less than twenty bucks and the tank he was on almost lated him two weeks. haha

Again, way to be a great big brother. *applauds*

amazing, my bro is helping me with my first engine swap (kinda different but similar).
props bro

thanks guys. we will keep you posted as things happen. with him being in school and after school activities, he doesnt always get a chance to come down to the shop. but we will do a little here and there.
