Well I have seen a couple of people online doing this swap with decent numbers. I just wanted to know if anyone has anyinfo on how to do this swap and what is needed for the swap to run right. I just might sell or trade my 240sx for an ek to do this? Any opinion?

it's not worth it. the power to weight isn't enough for all the custom work.

check out all the big power honda guys. they use either a b18c or h22.

i agree that it is probably not the best idea... if you want to make an all motor beast, then build a b20vtec or a h22, both can make nearly 250whp with the right set up.

if you want to go fast and stay a little cheaper then turbo is your answer. just pick up whatever b18 your budget allows and boost it, you can make 300 whp on a stock block b18c1 if its tuned right. and the b18a/b motors can make good power with boost too... these ls motors are cheap too.

are you joking? this swap is nasty, for one the fact that most don't do it (ya they have reason) that to me is more a reason to do it! and showing you got the balls and the knowledge to back it up and pull this beast of a motor off. mostly stock w type R pistons 248whp and 181fqt more power then a k24 and for less $$$$$ just under 7k all told, http://www.importtuner.com/tech/impp_0902_k24_vtec_vs_g23_vtec_tech_knowledge/index.htm

I picked up that issue of Import Tuner today. Go figure, I bought it for the cleanest EG hatch I have ever seen that was on the cover.

But the motor is ridiculous. The only thing is, if it truly begins to gain a following, the cheap parts to build it will not be so cheap anymore.

true that but you can only pick 2, fast, good or cheap. but next to how much a k swap is it is nice. holy shit ya that EG is badass, clean as ever

I looked at the pic of the engine compartment and was in awe. I mean they even tucked the fan.

As for the good, fast, cheap... Name one point of that motor that would be the weak link.

the tuck was most likely a chasebays job. and for the record i think the g23 is better than a k series, its unique and has potential.

good, not sure how the thing runs, could be blown in a month or 2 but as it seems the guy knew what he was doing

I wouldnt do it with an Ek, maybe find your self a clean looking 2 dr, 5 spd accord and do the swap on it. But as 95b16coupe says. Its not worth the time and custom work to mount that engine in it.

How old is this article? I didn't think that Hybrid Dynamics was even around anymore. I thought all the dudes moved to Florida.

I dont think its that old really, being that the "G23" concept just came out not too long ago. maybe a couple of months at the least. its been lingering for a while but no one actually called it the "G23" till now.

just figured id throw this out there the first motor swap honda i ever saw was a v6 crx some 13 years ago

Well this particular "G23" has an F23 block, H22 head, K-series pistons, and a B-series transmission. That alone, just amazes and intrigues me.
