will d16a6 spark plug wires on vtec head?

i've almost got all the parts to perform my mini me, y8 head onto my a6 block. i was told by a lot of people that i'll need new/different spark plug wires for the swap as my a6 wires are too long? idk what they mean by that because somebody else told me that they seemed to fit normal and that his worked just fine when he did his swap. so now i'm confused and am hoping somebody can elaborate on this for me. thanks a lot guys

Run em, see if they are too long, as long as they arent hanging down on the header or anything like that they will be fine.

the length isn't the issue. the part at the top of each wire that touches the valve cover surface is what hits and makes it difficult to click the wire down onto each plug. if you trim around this area they will work though. i was too cheap myself and also used the a6 wires on my y8 head lol. in the picture i pointed out where to trim. you'll see what i mean and exactly what has to be removed once you go to install them.

well i'm happy to help. of course my mini-me exists only in pictures now, since i've moved onto b-series. but i'll try to help with anything i can

i'm gonna stick with the dirty d for a little while since i'm still pretty fresh with honda motors. i do plan on going b series, but i wanna get some other stuff done first. i do appreciate it all though man, thanks
