I'm trying to keep it under 15K...
Building this with reliability in mind... I know race cars arnt reliable but I dont want to run into broken axles or any problems down the road because I decided to be cheap

if it were me, i'd do a mild all motor build.... upgrade the suspension, brakes, tires and do auto-x/roadrace .... drag racing is lame, unless your driving a muscle car..

i mean its a Honda, do you really wanna dump $15k into a car worth $2500 just to break shit.. cuz thats all drag racing does to the car

no, i'm just saying.. use your 96 Civic and build it for road-race..

get the GSR swap you were planning to get and do a mild all-motor build on it
upgrade to the Koni/GC combo or a full coilover setup, sway bars etc..
get a set of lightweight rims w/ sticky tires for track racing and a set of whatever for daily driving

that way you can still have fun racing, but longer for 11 seconds at a time... and still have your car able to drive daily w/ no problems..

but thats me

Man I do agree with the others. However it's your decision. Are you doing the work yourself and plan on spending 15k?

You may want to consider doing the K-swap. Really it just depends on you and your goals honestly! I mean what are you looking to do with the project once its' done?

whatever you do make sure you get a REALLY BIG SPOILER........LOL
