Straight to the point...

I found a B18b in a 01' Integra and was condidering the swap into my EG.

First time swapping a honda and was wondering what mounts, axles, ecu, harness, linkage and anything else that would be needed. I found a OBD2D to OBD1 conversion harness for 50.00 bucks and a warranty to simplify the swap a bit. But I would like your experience and or opinions on this swap. I am paying 800.00 for the Engine, Tranny, Ecu, Axles and anything else needed from a salvage about a mile away from my house.

I loved my swap when it was all motor in my Civic. Such a blast to drive. Make sure you get a different transmission though, the LS transmission is boring.

Ok! Thank you soo much for your input. I guess the b16 has shorter gears, so good for drags and around town and the stock ls tranny is better for constant higher speeds like highways? Am I right?

The tranny choice ultimately depends on the application for the car. From my experiences, the B16 is fun for quick, spirited driving, but it is a pain on the highway.

B16 tranny with LS 5th = Perfect.

Never driven with an ITR tranny, so I'll have to take your word on that.

its the same gearing as the b16 only w/ LSD .. USDM anyways.. JDM ITR tranny has teh 4.7 fd instead of the 4.4 fd

When I decide what my next build will be, I'll consider that. I never looked into one because of the price and the availability of them. My B16 did me just fine for what I was using it for.
