anybody get it? .. i got it last Sunday and i've been playing the shit out of it.. hahah.. shouldnt be that hard of a 100% achievement game

my gf's brother got it for the ps3. havent had a chance to sit down with it but fortunately one of our local arcade has had it since summer 08.

sagat + hk + hk + ultra = super damage

played it on a 10 foot projection screen here at work.

it's pretty cool. graphics are good, nothing special.

its a great street fighter game. just so used to playing it on SNES that the 360 controller... well sucks.

i dunno.. i like the 360 controller with it.. combos are super easy w/ the joystick, for me anyways

i don't have much time for personal video games anymore. it's what i do for work. it loses the hype when you are around it 10 hours a day.
lucky bastard.. but at the same time it takes away from the enjoyment, because its now "work".

at least it's only 1 game. i just don't have that much spare time in general. between work, working out, and studying, video games is very low on the priority list.

HAHAHHA DOA???? You gotta be fucking kidding me. Tekken, hell even VF4 is better than DOA.

Anyway, SF4 is pretty slick. Timing is a lot different from any of the series but its a much slower pace than SF3. The 360 controller is terrible for fighting games. Its like driving a manual with one foot and one arm. I highly recommend getting either the SF4 Tournament Edition stick or the Hori Real Arcade Pro 3. Its a bit expensive for the casual gamer (150 and 100 respectively) but you'll totally whoop ass with focus cancel combo ultras.

Screw that I'm breaking out MK1 and maybe KOF.

Instead of Street Fighter 4 and a XBLA port of Super Street Fighter 2 Champ edition they should have made Street Fighter Alpha 4 and ported Street Fighter Alpha 3, which to date is the best game in the series. The PS1 port was especially yummy.

And whoever thinks DOA is better than Street Fighter should be water boarded with the vaginal secretions of Rossie O'Donnell

sfa3 is good, but broke. akuma v-ism or guy would just plain rape you. i would say right now though, the best of the series is 3rd strike. unless you choose yun or chun li, then its pretty balanced.

I'm just wondering if it's worth trying to get the PS3 arcade joystick to make SF4 that much more enjoyable...

if you play a decent amount of fighting games or play the arcades (if you even have those arond you anymore), then yes. the combos come out easier as well special moves. but you have to get a quality one that is heafty and responsive.

the best sticks for the ps3 right now are the street fighter 4 tournament edition and then the hori real arcade pro 3. both are sold out and selling for well over $150. you can get other sticks but they are not as responive and most likely end up modding them to get quality feel.
