I can't find answers related to this anywhere. I've been searching for days! so i put a d16z6 into my 89 crx dx. I hardwired the car obd1 i ran all the wires for the vtec and mpfi. I've done mpfi a few times. Right now the car will run but it runs way rich. when i turb the key to the on position the fuel pump runs and keeps running. it was running decent a few days ago where i could drive it just fine but to start it hot it would flood out and i had to disconnect the fuel pump try starting it then reconnect it and it would run. now all of a sudden i can get it to start but it bogs out when i give it gas and its way way rich. my new plugs look like they've been going for years. I've double checked all my wiring but everything is right compared to write ups i've found. also my cel doesnt work. the wired on the obd1 harnedd are hooked up the the right ones on the car and even when i try wiring a led light on it it doesnt work. any ideas? my computer isn't bad it ran my buddy's z6 perfect. and i checked that today. any ideas?

right now i have a p06 but waiting for my p28 to ship in. but doesnt the p06 and p28 have the same maps and everything. the only difference is my vtec wont activate with the p06.

ECU problem or a Bad sensor (O2) or dirty or blacked air flow

the p06 is NOT the same ecu as a p28 without vtec. not even close. It's circuitry is similar, for chipping purposes, but the map on it is not even remotely the same.

get the right ecu before you waste any more time tracking down something that probably isn't there.

alright so i got a p28 in it this morning and it idled awesome but when i'd give it gas it revs slow and pops around 2 grand and wont get any higher and it is definately not in limp mode* ive drove a car in limp mode and this is nothing like it whatsoever. it died on me and now i can't get it started. i tried flipping the tps wires and now it won't even pop opp like it wants to start. any ideas? this is stumping me. would the 02 sensor do this? or knock sensor? or could it even be cyp sensor?

foud out the pinout i had found was incorrect. used alldata at my school to find the correct pinouts. the o2 sensor pin and the ground for map, tps, and iat were incorrect. if anyone is looking to do this swap i highly advise to not use just any pinout diagram offline!!! every one you find will be different! to save you alot of trouble and you're doing this same swap or converting any obd0-obd1 without the expensive conversion harness's let me know and i can get you the correct pinout!

yeah i tried using this one but anyone doing this swap their first time isn't gonna understand many of these abbreviations. now when i look back at it and study it many of them are easier to understand but i've also been troubleshooting this thing and studying for the past 2 weeks straight. and are these p28 specific. cause other ones for like a po8 are slightly different.

the only thing different is the vtec stuff is non-existant, and the 1-wire vs 4 wire o2 sensor.

a po8 has vtec it runs a d15z1 and what about a obd1 pr3 that has both. or a p71 that runs a gsr. there are ecus that are different and i suggest it would be much more reliable to look up the factory and model specific pins for what you are swapping. if i would have done that my car would have been running right weeks ago. but yeah your pinouts i'm sure are right but are they right to all obd1 ecu's vtec or not?

heres an example, i was studying it and here was a problem i had. pin # D19 on your pinout describes it vcc1. what does that mean? cause on my p28 D19 is the reference voltage for my MAP sensor. maybe I'm just not experienced enough but where does that abbreviation abbreviate?
