Green on the scene.
im not really concerned about the power.. just a decent replacement for the worn out stock filter.
power would be nice though.. lol
if i bought the first one. i would probably use a k&n filter on it.

its not going to be any that you will notice with a short ram you get more of a torque increase then you do with a cai....granted its only around 3ft. lb but its proven

i'm guessing he wants a cheap replacement for his stock air cleaner..

ebay intakes are great, since its just a pipe and filter with brackets i wouldnt pay 200+ for one, 25 bucks sounds great

ive decided just to get a cai.
does it really make a difference on which 94-01 teggy cai i get?
will these do?

opinions?

you dont need the breather filter thing... just hook up the hose like its supposed to be. it draws the dirty oily air out of your valve cover and really its not like you are gaining any measurable amount of power by putting a filter on the valve cover instead...

call me redneck but when i was in getting my exaust done i got him to build me a short ram out off 3" exaust pipe. cost me $15 and it took 10 min easiest and cheapest mod on my whole car but well worth it!! j

well, since you dont have a 3rd gen prelude you dont know this(and no one in the 3rd gen section of prelude power seemed to know this either..) but my stock intake has a nipple for a vacuum line and a hold for the pcv line to go in. so its either a breather or its just sucking straight air.
why would you get one for a 94-01 integra??

3rd gen preludes dont have much aftermarket support, and those are the ones that work best. lsd makes one, but it gets routed to the radiator.

Forget cai. Tiny bit of power for alot of risk. Hit a puddle that is a little deeper than you think and your motor gets nuked. Stick with the short ram.
