First off i'll say i've been searching for a few days now to come up with F!ck all.

I have a 91 crx si stock. I just recently purchased a skuck2 intake manifold and would like to install the bugger.

Now everywheres i look i se a little note saying (for application in 88/91 civic/crx additional materials are required)

Lovely..

Does anyone here know of any write-ups to installing this bolt on?

I've already inspected both the manifold and stock manifold to notice the few minor modifications that are going to need to be made. If nobody knows of a good write up you can expect one from me shortly..

Nab he'll still pick up some power. But sorry, I don't know the answer to your question. Maybe shoot Skunk2 an email? They're pretty good about customer support.

How do you figure?

You realize the Blox manifold is identical and cheaper...

Too late now, and yeah, you need supporting mods to utilize an intake manifold as huge as that one (intake/header/exhaust/cams/etc.) you are opening up one part of the system, but leaving all the other choke points intact. The power gains will be negligible.

I picked this up off a freind nearly brand new for $150

I plan to mini me the car eventually with a built z6 head and a straight through 2inch exhaust.Convert to obd1 and try to get the pig tuned somewheres.

I'd consider a slightly larger exhaust, and wait til you have the built z6 head and exhaust before installing the mani. You're going to modify it to fit your current head, then put it on a head that it won't need modification to fit?

yeah, i have the z6 swap with the skunk 2 mani and a 62mm BBS TB. personally i like it. but i also am boosted so the larger flow comes in handy :)

I am going to have to modify the manifold to fit either way. If its already installed then thats one less problem out of my way.

you shouldnt have to do anything to make it fit. i have one on my 90 civic si and one on my b16 swapped 91 dx hatch. you wont be able to use the intake mani bracket tho thats about it

2 Quick questions
1- does anyone bother to put the intake mani support bracket back on

2- Does it make a difference?

Don't you love it when you buy a product then it says something like "additional materials required"? And could they be more obscure? :D

its referring to the throttle body.. bolt pattern is different for the CRX si.. find an obd1 d16z6 throttle body or an obd0 b16 throttle body

well your gonna wanna leave it even if it isnt attatched to the intake mani. it'll hold your wire harness on the back of the block. its the only reason i left mine on.

lol i'm running no intake mani support bracket and it's doing fine so far. but i completed a wire tuck first :)

If I remember right, HATCH_HONDA had major vacuum leak issues because that manifold was not seating properly on his head. Something had to be modified for it to seat properly.

Definitely wait for his response.
