closest pics I could find since I of course don't have any of the actual bikes...

1980 Yamaha 250
very comfortable bike, low seat height , great beginner bike
got my motorcycle license on this bike before i had a car permit or license
it took months of convincing my parents to let me get a bike at 16, but it was worth it
snapped a rocker arm on the way back from my road test, had to truck the bike back home
mine was also red

2nd bike
1991 Ninja 250
logical next baby step from the bike above, i think i was 17 at the time
my bike was all black

3rd and last bike
1986 zx6r "ninja"
I think I was 17 when i got this bike
traded in the 2 above bikes fall of 1997 for a showroom mint red ninja
set me back about $2000 plus the "trade-ins", but it was very very clean
almost lost my life more times that I care to remember, so i ended up leaving the bike in storage for years until I traded it for random audio equipment
I had a good 2 or 3 summers from this bike, it was stupid fast next to anything I had ridden prior and would keep up with the "modern" bikes until about 100 mph and then they would walk on me (more like run)

so now that I'm older and wiser (and less reckless) I'm searching for a bike for this season. I will probably end up with a cbr F3 since I'm also on a tight budget saving for a house.

FUCK YO HOUSE NIGGA! lol good luck dude. i just sold one of those f3's out from under someone.

lol
asshole
you're just jealous cause your huge bitch can't ride on the back of a bike

I bought one of these. But it lacked the power I wanted.

unless you like lawsuits. ;)
or just get a kawasaki 125 eliminator. Cheap and fuel efficient. A cruiser with a scooter engine. Gives you the fear of everyone trying to kill you on the roadway, and if you can't take it, a motorcycle isn't for you. Just don't plan on breaking 45mph anytime soon on it a passenger or two.

Nice bikes recked, I still have yet to break into the 600's myself, even though I think I would be fine going right to the 1000's, it's better to take your time and work your way up. My GS500 took me no time at all before I had no problem with power and dragging the pegs in the corners.

and phyregod probably is holding close to the record in biggest power jump for a motorcyclist to experience, or so he sais

after what you've said i think it would be a good idea just start right off and get a busa turbo. lmao

a guy i used to work with never hrode a bike before, his first bike was a trashed 954, then he bought a cbr1000rr off the showroom two weeks later, then wrecked two weeks after that.

not very smart

lol, see, i told you, you are going to have to post up more pics to get people knowing.

and i have owned the following:
99 ninja 250, bought it for 1200 at a small dealership. painted it and sold it for 2k. moved up to
93 ninja 600r, had a fresh motor and carbs jetted up to 1000cc. was a blast to drive, bought it for 1200, wrecked it one day on my way to work, came around a curve and a moving truck ran a stop sign and blocked the whole road, right into the side at 45mph. totaled.
then a 01 cbr600f4i, had it for about 4 months, hated it, didnt like anything about the bike, put only 1000 miles on it, then traded it for a car.

still waiting to get a r6 raven.

recked, thanks. the bike is mint. it also has 60K miles on it now.

Dude, don't buy an old-ass F3....

I will never understand why people want old bikes because they're 'cheaper'...in the long run they almost never end up that way.

Shut up, Celerity.

on another note, one of the last bikes I worked on was a complete rebuild on an 86 ZX6. The thing was a COLOSSAL hunk of shit, a lot of the parts weren't even in production anymore for it...took almost 3 months and cost the dude almost 4 grand to get the thing in decent working order....and it was still a colossal hunk of shit.
