Hmm...I'm 22, I got my liscence when I was 18. I've been pulled over 14 times. I've received 2 tickets. Anyone smell that? It's bullshit. Lol. I've been searched twice. My car has been searched twice. I've had my hood popped a few times, and just recently been sent to the state ref. My first ticket was in a Ford Focus...hated that car, but that cost me $1200. 97 in 65, foreign registration, and no insurance. Second ticket, the most recent in my 89 CRX, , is costing me $1700. 75 in a 45 over a bridge, excesivley (sp?) loud exhaust, emmisions, no insurance. This time I did have insurance, I just didn't have my card on me, so the cop was an ass (as usual), and got me for everything he could. So atleast it will drop that to about $1000 instead of $1700. So what about you guys? Get harrassed alot? I sure do.

Been pulled over 3 times. Once for having a burnt out headlight bulb (warning), once for going 52 in a 35 (another warning), and finally for driving without a muffler. For the last one I acted like it had just fallen off and thankfully got just a warning.

You need to slow the fuck down. Where do you live? Because in Cali, anything 30+ mph over the speed limit is a felony wreckless driving and automatic suspension of your license.

I can't count how many times i've been pulled over but I actually haven't gotten a ticket in almost 6 years. I actually got a ticket about 2 years but when I went to go pay it, it wasn't ever put into their system. I wasn't gonna argue lol...

I live up in Norther Cali, about 45 min North of Sac. On the first one I think the guy felt a little sorrow for me because it was on a prom night that I was invited to, and we were all dressed up n shit. He probably just gave me a slight break. Still had to pay that whole ticket though.:(. Did you knowthat if an officer asks you to pop your hood, and he has reason to, and you refuse to, that it is also a felony? The last time I got pulled over the cop about ripped my head off when I questioned him about why he wanted to look at my engine, and what justification he had to want to look.

Oh, I have slowed down since then...it's not worth the money...could have used that money for some more car parts instead of giving it to the county.

I forget how many times I've been pulled over with my old ef sedan but with my current hatch I've been pulled over once and it was within ten minutes of telling my friend: "I'm surprised I haven't been pulled over in this car yet." I didn't get a ticket that night but for having the car less then a year and not being pulled over more then that is shocking.

Thats crazy I wonder how that happened. I have had a few friends around here get away with DUIs because the campus cops who stopped them messed up the paper work so they got off completely free.

when i was younger i had a lot of problems with the cops... like back in the years from about 97-01 i was big into street racing. ive been pulled over more times than i could count, i know ive had at least 30 tickets in my life. most of them were stupid stuff like window tint, expired tag, loud stereo, laying drag, crap like that. i got pulled over and harassed any time i was out at night, sometimes twice in a day. it happened even when i wasnt doing anything wrong. i used to always get searched too, they said my illegal tint was probable cause to search.

but looking back at it, it was all my own fault....i hung out with a bad crowd, i had a flashy integra that gave the cops numerous reasons to mess with me, plus i drove like an ass. at the time i was real rebellious and since i had a good job i didnt really care about paying the tickets. i paid 5 for window tint alone. my license got revoked for street racing when i was 21. ive been to jail twice for driving offenses.

ever since i got older and wiser and got out of the honda scene i never get pulled over anymore. i am almost 29 now and i got my new teg over 6 months ago and have had NO attention from the cops at all. so yeah the car you drive has something to do with it, but i think the way you drive it and the mods you have done to it is what really attracts cop attention.

Let see...

I was pulled over when i was 18 for speeding 44 in a 35 in Bristol, Ct side street--no ticket in my 1990 Celica ST stock.

Then about a year later pulled over in Bristol again for restricted turning which was bull shit, they cop said i took a left at an intersection and cut someone off--got a ticket was thrown out in court--same celica....

I was randomly pulled over in my Jeep Cherokee Sport for DUI check---wasn;t drinking --no ticket...

Pulled over in my 4 Runner for broken tail light...it was on order..showed the guy my receipt..got written warning.....

I was pulled over 1 time in my Corvette 4th of July weekend...2:30am after the bar...I admit i was drunk....but somehow i passed all the DUI tests..i was scared as fuck...no ticket....i never did that again...

Then i was pulled over 3 times in my Scion TC in 8 month period and ticketted 3 times and had to go to driver school class, clearly being target just for the car...1 legit speeding ticket...75 in what turned out to be a 65mph one second and then a mile down the highway was a 55mph zone where the cop was sitting...such bull shit how inconsistant highways are with speed limits....Then got pulled over for running a red light which was bullshit...3 other cars behind made the light....and then one i iwll never forget.....Excessive noise...the tropper never explained to me the ticket...$320 dollars...stock 2005 scion tc....

Haven't gotten a ticket since 2006

im 22, i have taken the drivers safety class about 20 times.
lost my license once when i was 16, 120 in a 70 on and empty interstate christmas night. was fun though.
been pulled over too many times to count. gotten a lot of warnings from the harshest police dept in middle tn. (everybody got pissed that i got warnings from them, its almost unheard of)
only got warnings when i lived in fl by the state troopers, never a ticket.
all in all i have been very lucky when it comes to dealing with police.
i have calmed my driving a lot but i still speed, just not as much, maybe 10 over, a lot more when im on long trips.

but my license is spotless now, completely clean, im planning on keeping it that way.

Pulled over four times:

- 18 years old 87 in a 65 in my cutlass ciara - 6 point 240.00 ticket
- 22 years old - was pulled over for doing 56 in a 55 (yes she told me that) at bar time to see if I was DUI - I wasn't. I was let go in 3 minutes - no warning
- 25 years old - pulled over for no front license plate during a click it or ticket campaign. Settled for a 10.00 seatbelt ticket
- 25 Was pulled over at bar time for apparently doing 30 over was harassed by the cop then he admitted he only yanked me to see if I had been drinking and I had not. Let go no within 3 minutes.

You're lucky you didn't get charged with reckless driving out here lol.

There's mixed info on popping your hood for police officers. I don't know the ins and outs of it but I do know for a fact that they ask you to pop it because legally, they can't. That's why you'll always hear a police officer ask you to open something for them. Part of the reason could be for their safety as well, just incase you got a bomb or some shit lol but the main reason is because they aren't allowed to do it themselves unless you give consent. (4th amendment)

I saw a video on this but some people had counter-arguements that made sense. I'll try to find it.

EDIT: I don't know if this video talks about hood popping or not but this is the best video I could find...

I have in the neighborhood of 15-20 tickets. I'd say half are parking tickets from college. Everything from parking, to no insurance card, to wreckless(bs that got thrown out).

I'd have to say I have been pulled over in the neighborhood of 50 times. In NY, NJ, PA, and maybe DE, not sure. I know I have been pulled over and gotten off more than I have been ticketed. Have to love an Integra with an N1 and a handful of PBA cards. I've actually been asked by a cop,
"What is all this?"
"All my PBA cards."
He said, "All your friends who would get you out of any ticket I give you, you mean."
Laughing I said, "Yea pretty much"

But I've also been pulled over in my friend's Jeep Cherokee twice. I have driven it twice. Both times I was DD from the bar. But I did pass a DUI check Thanksgiving Eve this past year. I too, was shitting a brick. I was the driver, so I had only had like 5 drinks all night, but looking back I should have stopped at 3 or 0. Now I don't mess around when I'm DD.

As for being a dumbass, ussually not. However PA was because I was weaving back and forth across 4 lanes. There was no one on the road. I was bored. I told the cop I was being a dumbass, he agreed, and let me go.

Yeah, I think I've watched that vid before. After I argued with that cop for a sec on popping my hood, another cop came to me and said because I have a modified exhaust it gave them the right to look at my engine. I think your right about the part of them not being able to touch your hood becuase he made me get out of the car and open it for him, and all the while when he was looking at my engine, he would get close to it, but never touch it.

2:00am Tuesday night ,so i guess that would make it morning, anyways coming from a car show in atlanta i was going down the highway trying to get home as soon as i could
got pulled over for 113 in a 65 cop, said i couldnt stay in lane, but i was getting over for the car i didnt know was undercover. he gave me a ticket for reckless, cant stay in lane and excessive speeding and a night in jail. Went to court and the judge dropped the charges dont know how or why but i aint complaining
