I sent the spirit that's been haunting my house for the past 5 weeks back to Idaho.

So: I'm looking for a roommate ! I have two bedrooms available, a small one and a big one. $400 and $600 respectively.

If you think that's a lot, I'm in Connecticut. The job market here isn't that bad (It's been better, but it's still WAY better than most of the country.. check craigslist.com (Fairfield County CT and New Haven County CT). I live on the border of the two. I'm close to rail transport, I'm right in town and the neighborhood is clean. If you have any questions that you may not want to ask me, I'm sure Walter (George7777) will be more than happy to answer them.

The good:

The place is free. Yeah, I listed prices up there, but check this out: I'm losing the house. Well, I'm struggling to hold onto it, and I'm getting successful, but it's not solid yet. I could get a note on the door saying that it's time to leave in a month or 2, so I can't rightly charge rent during that time. Move in, save your money, and when my ownership is solid, I'll start charging rent. So for now, it's FREE. I expect help on utilities and food.
It's private. I'm not in your business. The rooms have locking doors, the big bedroom with a bathroom has to have it's door open during the day (The thermostat is in there) but in the summer I don't care.
I have a new washer and dryer.
The place is big.
I'm gun friendly.
I have a big driveway and a garage with tools.

The bad:
First and foremost, the place can just be taken away, and I won't be able to help you out after that. It won't be a "Rise and Shine! We gotta get out by noon!" kinda thing, but it can still happen. You need to be prepared.
I have a cat. I love my cat. The cat is more important than you.
NO DRUGS. I know your posts, I know who you are. No pot, no pills. Smokers are ok, I'm a smoker myself. But smoking is done outside, in the basement during the winter.
My mom is aging, and a she's like me only a bit stranger. She stops in time to time. I never thought this to be a problem, but a lot of people do.

The good:
I'm a cool dude.
I have no rules, I don't tell people what to do.
I have no borders. The whole house is yours, you will be a welcome member of the place.
I'm walking distance to a lot of smaller jobs. Convenience stores, dunkin donuts and stuff like that. For "real" jobs I'm a good commute. For commuting, I'm in a very desireable area.
The neighborhood is safe, and your car is safe.
I'm actually a quiet guy.
Kids and spouses are welcome. I have two bedrooms, and if you wanna get both that's fine by me.
I'm very selective and protective about the house. I guarantee this is the safest place on the planet.
I'm a steampunk. I'm also kinda gothy. There are a million ways to die in this house - I listed this in the good section. Tesla coils, vandergraff generators, huge transformers and knife sculptures abound.
You're free to be who you are, without judgement. As long as you're not a druggie or a lazy slag who does less around the house than a.. well.. a ghost.

The rules:
I'm not a "my food / your food" kinda guy. What's in the house is for all, including company. I cook all the time, and you'll be part of my cooking plans. I ask the same in return. No food ownership is a BIG rule in my book.
Again, no drugs. None. Whatsoever. Booze is fine, drunk people aren't. All things in moderation. Except drugs. Did I mention I live across the street from the police department ?
I don't assign tasks, but I do have goals in mind. "Clean and Green". I don't inspect rooms and spaces, but I would like someone who is clean, offers to help out and washes a dish occasionally. I clean all the time but I don't expect others to keep up.
Pets of all shapes and sizes are welcome, but they have to be nice to me and my cat. No crates.
You have to be pleasant to be around. Sense of humor is necessary - I behave the same in real life that I do on this forum.
Morality is pretty important to me, but my vision of right and wrong is severely askew. It won't always be fun, but it will always be interesting.
I don't take well to yelling. I don't ever yell, and I don't like my name or attention being demanded from across the house unless you're on fire. Yelling, fighting, drama and anger are NOT ALLOWED. This place is a sanctuary.

If anyone is interested, hit me up here or in email: steven.earl@gmail.com .. I don't come around here very often anymore because I'm focused on some important things in life. I'm sure Walter would be a character reference, and I won't pry and he won't share whatever you may have to ask.

Hugs and Kisses,
Steve.

this has fail written all over it.

collect some friggin rent so you DONT lose the house. :bash:

thats what i was thinking..
it doesnt make sense to not collect rent when you need it, but once shit is secure collect it.

I thought Trinity was one of those HS chicks that hated me ? Yeah, I think you did.

If I collect rent, I have to hold it - Legal obligation. If I spend the rent, and the house goes I can be taken to court - or at the very least, I'll feel really bad about it.

When I can live up to my obligations as a landlord / slave trader then I can collect. I was thinking of charging and holding onto it, but I would need to also give back the amount plus interest accrued, and then claim it on taxes.

Oh, my god... This sounds like it would be so bad ass if it was 6 years from now, and I was single. Just a fresh start out of ohio. Plus I get to live with the man himself. Damn garage and shit... I'd be set like a white boy! No bull shit that goes on in the house, and living with Cel... Hit me up in 6 years. It'd be like foreign exchange, only Cel speaks English, and my parents don't have to babysit a kid from Czech.

The house is comfy, spacious, conveniently located, and "home". Steve is a good guy--we had lots of good times while I was there.

Anyone looking for a break, a new start, or a nice place to stay would be well suited for this place.

Feel free to ask questions--I'll answer them. I have nothing to hide, nor does Steve. If I wasn't having a kid any day now, I'd still be there.

why did you send the ghost to idaho...we dont need any more creepy shit here.

WRONG!!!!george was his roomie before he had to leave for his kid..cel had more roomies from idaho..and sent them back..
