So heres the deal ---- I've read through pages and pages of forums and have found no luck w/ similiar problems . Here are the details -
1996 Civic EX 1.6L vtec

I Took a motor out of a 1998 Civic DX 1.6 non- vtec and used the short block(the lower end).
I took the cylinder head off of the 1996 vtec engine (d16y8) reworked at machine shop and mated to the the lower end of the (d16y7).Replaced Plugs, oil, coolant, valve guide seals, etc.

Only difference I found in conversions where the intake manifold, exhaust manifold . Vehicle will not idle at low rpm's and throws a couple of CEL codes-
p1300 random cylinder misfire
p1508 idle air control valve malfunction
p301 misfire#1
P304 misfire#4

I reset the CEL , cleaned IACV valve (IACV worked fine on old engine)have adjusted throttle cable to get it to idle . But as soon as I accelerate to 3,000 rpms or higher and let off the gas it dies out . When starting the vehicle it seems like the camshaft is spinning faster than normal almost as if the belt is loose or snapped . Have rechecked belt /TDC but probable a starting point .

I'm looking for suggestions or just flat out help - - Not too familiar w/Honda's . I havent checked the compression yet ,TDC,or swapped to d16y7 ecu .
I'm stumped !!!! Just looking for flat out suggestions while I wait for this storm to pass....All help is appreciated

dude.... this forum is about "vehicles for sale" as states the title... you are so far away from the right place to post this its ridiculous
