I've been driving and modding Honda's for the past 6 years now. I love the product and will own one as a DD in the future. Hell I work R&D for the company. My first was a 99's si that I did bolt-ons to. In 06' I sold that, bought the current hatch and did a gsr swap. In October 07' I supercharged the thing. Since then I've just changed the oil, put on a new header, and changed the exhaust. The car has 250whp, and hauls ass. It's just getting bored to me. I'm sick of crappy traction under 60mph.

I'm pondering what my next project will be. It's definately going to have to be rwd, and I want it to be fast (12's or better). I'm looking for a clean slate. I'm tired of the raspy exhaust note and constantly battling rust. There are a couple of directions that come to mind.

1. Miata. I've always loved these cars. Mine would be ls2 swapped with a t56.
2. e36 m. Love the way they drive. Too many of my friends have them. parts=$$$
3. 94-98 mustang cobra. Was my dream car as a kid. In 4th grade I predicted I'd be a car engineer driving a black 95 cobra. I've been right on half of that so far.
4. f-body. Only for the ls1.

Anything else you guys can think of. I know I'm not the first person on here who has thought about giving up their Honda.

Miatas can be really fun cars.. they're kinda on the ghey side though

yes, i agree ^^^^

but when you modd it a little bit and put hot girl in the passenger seat, it conpensates a little bit

But on the down side, i am 6' 1" and i have really long legs that dont always agree with the mx-5's lack of room

S2000

Its like a miata, but more powerful, less gay, handles better, looks better, is better, and is a honda.

I'm personally currently tossing back and forth between an S2000 and an RSX-S.

If you really want a good car that won't (read: "can't") rust, get an NSX! (all aluminum ftw!) Fast, powerful, graceful, handles like a go cart, rear wheel drive, and still a honda. Supercharge that biatch!

If you want to go straight, get a mustang or camaro.... no better bang for the straight line buck.

I can't imagine wanting a straight line rocket for a DD. you're going to want to hit the twisties some day. Well, I would.

i love that statement right there
+psi and a daily driver with reliability

See I do care about handling. In fact when it's nice out I'm always out on windy back roads driving spirited. The thing about a small block miata is that an aluminum ls1+t56 combo weighs a scant 50lb over the miatas engine/trans. There's a company called Racing Concepts - LSX Miata that makes a swap kit. It comes with a custom Ford 8.8 rear and axles so you can use the factory miata suspension. They claim that it retains 50:50 weight distribution.

You can make a pony car turn as well. Mustangs have their own class in scca road racing, and do well in drift.
